I think the trend, with instant access on the internet, is as you and MC have done. We have all probably seen the Lou Gehrig story - when the doctors told you as little as they could get away with. Some probably still try that route, but when you can do your own research, you do not need sugar coatings. just the facts. And then with that, you make the decision that is best for you. When I first got cable back in 82, cost was $8/month. That was a LONG time ago! And OTA is pretty good! At my BIL, they had a TV in the guest room that was only Antenna, and I was impressed with the digital offerings - in a relatively rural area!

Sorry I missed this Tova. Thanks to BFD for making it pop up again. My mother had a lung removed 3 years ago. And she JUST had her port removed. She has shown no sign of the cancer since the lung was removed, but doctors are always super careful these days. I hope the same can be said in your case. Best to get rid of those foreign objects!

The house is called a "split foyer". I have one as well, and we have a second family living with us now downstairs (I just started putting down ceramic tile, so will have to wait to finish). But our previous owners were not as smart as yours, so only one kitchen. Oh well, an occasional son or daughter stops by and between my wife and I, we are fine on space.
