The GNN Post Research discription (as in, what you see after you research something) for traid says: "Lets face it, people want to guy our stuff". Remember that spellcheck dosent look for illogical sentances.

Err greywar? What is it with you and your vendetta against online games? Telling us the reason can help.. Also the problem with internet donations is that you cannot tell if they are going to build homes for the homeless or into someone's pocket, With buying games and the like (not only MMO's, but offline games ala TG.net) you are garunteed to get results. Buying online games does not make us "Selfish Bastards" either, there is nothing selfish about spending an extra 12 dol

Hmm, After about half an hour of playing, the centerpoint of one yellow sun (I.E the middle) suddenly stayed in the middle of my field of view, So I had a huge sunbeam being stretched out from the top of the sun model! Tested using an ATI Raedon 9200 card.

Ctrl + N (New Game & Map) frequently crashes with anything bigger than a small map Edit: This just in from the GNN first contact dpt. Human Intro Message: (Went along the lines of) We are the Terran Alliance, We have claimed theese worlds in our name. Let our cultures stive (Stive, Not strive.) Invalid call error immediatly after I alt tabbed back to GC2.

Greywar, An online game is what you let it be - "Cybersex" is not at all a part of most peoples gaming experience! Secondly, I would like to add that as a long time gamer (Dating back before my teens) that I cannot understand how you can stereotype kids as perverted hampsters running along the neverending wheel while talking dirty ("Cybersex" and the never ending acheivement scale.). From personal experience I have only encountered "C

No, That both: A. Sucks B. Does not fit in with the current (and better) method. (Current method - Each planet has an influence value and resistance value, Hard to explain but it worked well in GC1, And will work well here.) Besides, That would mean that say your boarder and the Torians are fighting each other, And you both have boarder planets, A third party could buy influence points from both of you and tip the balance.

Aah, So the Arceans hate the Arceans? Maybe this is the new Civil War feature we have not heard about untill I made wild speculation -- Ctrl + N (New Map, New Game) causes crashes on 50% of my huge map games and invariabally crashes the gigantic games.

Major, Major report here. Tested using a custom race. --- Start a game, Open up either a planet screen or the ship designer screen. Now press escape and click main menu, The screen you were just at will be superimposed on the main menu, And when you click cancel you will be back in the game with the main menu music playing (And possibally the menu still going on in the background). Not tested with research screen yet. --- Create a

Thanks alot FB, Its amazing what you guys at Stardock can do in the three hours it takes to do a paper run! P.S, At the time of writing my download bar in SDC said Wating 3 seconds, What is the purpose in that out of curiosity?

Hi, After 2 hours of painstaking selective deleting of the .xml files (to get GC2 to install) and fixing a fault in the start menu, It asks for a keycode. I heard that a day after release all beta people would be sent a code, I recently changed my account email (Old email is now non existant.) and am wondering if I missed out.. Secondly the multimedia just wont download, Something to do with an error in *sigh* another .xml file, And I cant do anything about it!<

I would seriously reccomend SE, SE 3 and 4 are great games.. Anyway, About the yor needing food? Quoth he who wrote the galactic databanks: In an ironic twist, while the Yor do not age, they were designed to make use of biological-based energy sources -- food -- to replenish their energy reserves So the Yo

Hmm, KIY, You played SC2 Too? Great game wasent it.. Anyhoo, I have to say that I most loved the Yor, He looked..well..more *real* than before, That and the eyes were awsome! I cant wait for beta 4! P.S, KIY, Is your name a reference to "Hastur" from H.P Lovegoods (sp?) books?

Hi, I was looking at the screenshots and I happened to see the release date on what I think will be the diplomacy screen characters was yesterday by my time! I have to say they look great at such an early stage and in particular, The Yor gets my two thumbs up! On a more negative note the Arcean and the Drath look nothing like the figures we saw in GC1 but seeing as this is beta 3 (and almost 4) I reckon the final results will be great! Thanks for the preview!

King In Yellow, I know its a good idea and it has been used in games such as Space Empires and MOO, But in Galactic Civilizations (I,II) The only factor affecting planet desirability is its planet quality, Basically it means that the better the planet quality, The bigger the planet is, Less severe weather, More abundant minerals (you get the idea) and I would imagine that say, A class 0 planet would be a moulten slag of lava and so on and so forth up untill you reach class 15 which has a sort of

Well I have an idea, 2 Ideas infact... Ctrl + C Could send the nearest colony ship to the destination planet, In the options you can decide on either to have it send away a preset percentile of your population or manually set the colonists each time. Ctrl + I (i) Would send an invasion fleet, As the same it would sent the closest Transport ship, However if a planet with Tir-Quan (Ur-Quan?) training is within a radius set in the options it will send a fleet from there inste

[i agree with u there Ugleb except, if u are on ur last planet, it is mostly overall game over. also some ppl might rase and build a couple of ships at start of game and quickly blockade someone which would almost end them Update just had a quick go of MoO2 and the way they have done i relise is really good, if u blockade a system it also cuts of freighters which means if u block a planet with little or no food then the planets population will starve (also with GC2 if u have 1 planet w
