If you can update everything (I.E Not only multimedia but the core GC2 release, and the movies if you can get them) then that will make it easier. Otherwise archive and hope that it works, If it dosent you can roll back and wait a further 17 days. It wont kill you

Wow... That certainly predates Star Control I (Circa 1990) -- Thanks for clearing that little thing up, I guess that now there is the possibility of the Ur-Quan being based of Galciv (OS/2)! And plus, Where do

Hi, was playing The Ur-Quan Masters (Freeware remake of Star Control II) and was wondering, Tir-Quan training in Galciv increces soldiering by 25%, And in SCII/UQM the Ur-Quan were the evil dominators in the galaxy. So, Is the Tir-Quan training building based of Ur-Quan or have I gotten it completely wrong?

Thats what I want to know! It bears the mark of a full post, not a reply! Very odd. -- Well...Either you can wait for the release of Galciv2 or you can try what I did (temp. delete the tempory file folder for SDC downloads.)

Seriously, Galactic Cartography is a rather weak tech, I would think there is cause for concern if Humans couldent see the stars but really all you need to do is point a colony ship in the general direction of a star and you WILL find a planet there. Also the SC tech is worth only about 6 or so weeks worth of research even at the beginning. You are just overrating that tech.

If all else fails you can allways get a sheet of A3 paper, Get a copyshop to print off the Galciv 2 logo and a highscore table and record from there.

Lets use our solar system for this one... Ok, Earth is pretty much dependant on sunlight and other solar radiation in order to support life, Assuming that a terror star makes its way to the sun, blows it up and somehow earth doesent get destroyed in a supernova then the planet is as good as dead anyway. But I would put money on that if Brad and co. add Terror stars in, They will destroy all the planets in a system, But by going for the star rather than the planet (Think rep

No, It is definatly not paper rock scissors like. Rather it works like this: Beams - Light but dont do as much damage Mass Drivers - Heavy, More Damage Missiles - Heavy as hell, But does even more damage. (I could have MD and Missiles mixed up though.) To counter them you have shields for beams, point defence for missiles and armor for MDrivers. However its not as effective when say, Blocking a beam with point defence s
