THe campaign game uses different rules than the sandbox mode. Certain techs are locked out and everything is done on purpose. Hope that answers your question! Quoted so I can say: He is correct (Except for the minor spelling mistake (THe)

Well, If you go to the downloads section, Click on collectors edition content and if there are 3 downloads on offer then you have them. If you dont, Check your email adress that you have your stardock account registered on, I recently got an email giving me the upgrade details... P.S The Galciv II theme for XP is cool.
I agree, The lights were seriously underwhelming
I think that what planetidiot is trying to get at here is that the light extras dont actually shine and cause reflections on the rest of the ship, Rather they just look like a blue ball untouched by sladow effects and the likes..
Tinplated is right, Look in the extra's department around 60% down.
D'oh. Ok. HOw do I do that? I already have the tech, but do I upgrade one of my building to that or.. Step one: Research the logistics tech tree branch untill you get the tech that allows you to build "Orbital Fleet Manager" Step two: Build an orbital fleet manager on each of your worlds Step three: Heavily fortify al
Dont worry, Even if they take your planets they will still work towards a greater good. Namely: Your greater good, They will try every now and then to either help you or take that planet owned by the Drengin
Nifty.. But still, You DO loose 10 to 50% of the PQ and 50-100% of all planetary improvements..
look in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy under vogons, except the leathery green skin that allows him to withstand huge amounts of underwater preasure, the attitude and origins apply Vogons dont take slaves, Drengin dont blow up planets. Rather the Drangin blow up star systems. Lestways, They used to (I dont think that
Well, The only time I've even seen a walmart was on this one southpark episode.. Here in New Zealand we have "The Warehouse" - Essentially a giant air conditioned shell with stuff for sale -- Walmart is only stocking collectors edition at the moment, I reccomend geting GCIICE, Its the same price and you get lots of extra stuff.

So it makes sense to make balanced ships.
#5 You can play a quasi-Hot seat game with someone by loading up the game as GalCiv2 cheat (use the cheat parameter). Then when you set up the game, you let the AI play out a few turns and then have your friend pick one of the races they want to control. Have them select that unit and hit CTRL-SHIFT-Z. So..Your friend takes over the A.I?
No, Play on Tough mode, Its bootcamp after playing on cakewalk
1. What happens if during the download my internet goes down? (Only 1 router for my entire apartment complex....) SDC will restore your download from where you left off. -- 2. How fast is the delieve
I am an idiot!! Yes, Yes you are.
Question - Does collectors edition content extend to those who got the TG.net upgrade?
The maps are just XML (aka text!) so just go in there and see how it's organized. It's pretty simple IIRC, so if you dont mind getting your hands a bit dirty in notepad you could probably make your own map pretty easilly. Does this mean there is a chance for third party map editing software while we wait?
If you plan on upgrading your governmental type from imperial I reccomend keeping your happiness around 70%+. Otherwise the senate will blast your party bonuses into the negatives, Systems are far more likely to break off from your empire, etc.
I'm amazed at how little I have heard over this, The concept seems amazing and I will love to play it! I do however have a few questions. I have gathered it will be sold on TG.net, So that brings up the following question: Will it be: A. Paypermonth B. One Off (Oh please let it be this one.) -- Secondly: When will work commence in ernest? The journals havent been updated for
Hi, I am wondering if there is a small webpage somewhere that contains a complete metaverse icon-to-what-it-means table. (I.E A webpage with the metaverse status symbols and what they mean) Thanks for reading my badly written post.
Poop happens, Especially with autonomous systems to detect cheating.. I would suggest uploading your savegame and linking it to a forum post, That way stardock can examine the save file and build on their anticheating system from there.
In Galciv I at the end of every game you got the chance to upload Metaverse scores. Mods included. -- In Galciv II You have to: A. Login to the metaverse manager, Create a character by inputting your serial code (Or TG.Net code if that apply's) and name. Then startup the game, Click the metaverse tab and login with your stardock account. Play the game. Finish the game. Submit scores. The main difference is th
Also, what's a good balance to build on planets? Should you immediately just chock a planet full of stuff, or go slow, and keep space open for other buildings later? Build it all up now, Your citizens wont give a crap about your "Save the planet program". (Empty spaces are useless except for building)
I didint even know that there was an anti cheating system there. And I hope that they have fixed labeling a culture takeover as a millitary takeover..
