I may be wrong {don't think I am} but the button on the Appearance tab of the Desktop Properties dialog does not use any resources. It could be argued that when you load that tab, Windows needs to draw one more button . . . but I don't think you'd notice that. If you set your skin to Windows classic style WB is in effect not doing anything. Unlo

We have to charge slightly more than retail Retail has to have the CD, packaging, shipping, stocking, etc. And Stardock has a database and a server (already in place for other games). I'd love to hear how all that works. I'm just glad I'm a TotalGaming.net sub.

I have a set of floppies from my Win3.1 days from a company (Sound Source Unlimited, Inc) that licenced Star Wars sounds (and video) for system events. It was wicked cool. The question always seems to me to be 1) Do you want to learn a newoperating system and spend years learning it? or 2) Do you want to boot the thing up, surf a little, write a letter, and chat? I'm option 2 for the most part. Give me a GUI that just works and the option to dig if I want to. I feel the same way about the Mac. </f
By the way, what is DriveScan? It's like sequoiaview but simpler. I graphiclly shows a hard drives and how much space folders and files take up. It makes it real easy to clean up the crap. <b

Try going Tools | settings | Internet | Refresh XML data. That might help. Can't hurt.
