I have had success with a different method using Object.Directory I'll give it a try when I get home. Thanks for the tip. (Oh, and nice Frapper pic. LOL) <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCus

How had you "removed" the GalCiv discussion board? Right click in SDC board frame. Settings. Uncheck the GalCiv options. Clicked OK. SDC version 2.19a[b].151.build 97 (I think. Not resolved by upgradign to 98 or 100 [current version])
You could try verifying that %objectdir% is a valid variable (that it contains what you would expect it to). Stardock Devloper's guide: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/documentation/index.html My object uses the componants described in the Scripting | ActivX section and Creating Object
I checked out the c:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\discussion directory and found it empty. I then opied the *.ini files from another PC, restarted, all is well. I sure would like to know how unchecking the GalCiv discussion boards cleared that directory . . . but oh well.
I ahve an object that uses the MS Web Browser ActiveX control to pull a Flash file into a browser. It works great when I use an absolute path in the script to the file(e.g Control.Navigate2 "c:\flashfile.swf" but when I attached the file using the "Custom File" option and change the script to read Control.Navigate2 "%objectdir%\virtual-bubblewrap-distv1.1.swf" it fails. I get an IE window that indicates that the file can't be found.<b
http://www.virtual-bubblewrap.com/popnow.shtml ? I grabbed the distributed Flash file, DesktopX, a Silica frame, the MS Web Browser ActiveX control and made a mini app for my own use. Total build time: 7 minutes. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Poste
A_67, can I ask/suggest that the deadline be the week before Christmas? It always stinks when AMAZING holiday themes are released the day of or even after the said holiday (Holy Day)?
Okay everything should be back to normal now. [comm is blinking, Han hits the button] Han Solo: Uh, everything's under control. Situation normal. Voice: What happen
do you guys think that the installation of AOL could have anything to do with this? That's a virus all by itself!
Same build on different PC has no issues. And I would hope that WB5 would work with other Stardock apps. Still waiting for WinFX build.

I find significant lags when hitting sites with animated ads and SharePoint document lists (but only on fields with edit options).
The other day I removed the GalCiv discussion board from SDC (2.19a[b].151.build 100). Somehow though, I lost all the boards. And under the Discussion settings, Available Boards, nothing show up. Any ideas before I contact [email protected]?

You know what I like about WC (one of the things)? The low occasion of fanboys. I can't think of another company that would allow competing products as much visability and have posts pro and con for said products. And thanks mrbiotech
You can turn off the shadows if you want. I turned them on because I like shadows. Thanks, maybe I'll pick it up then.
I like the concept but the lighting and shodows always throw the illusion off for me and generally feaks me out [like an uncanny valley: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_Valley] (e.g. the fish/fish/fishes all have a drop shadow as if they were hovering over the desktop, the treasure chest has no shading, the anchor has a shadow but it doesn't map to the background objects (for obvious reasons and I am aware that would be asking too much), the bottl

Since Object Desktop is pretty much worthless without the content from WinCustomize, why aren't we treated as Platinum subscribers? OD is limeitless if you make your own skins.
The trick is to figure out how to block google A guy at my mother's office was let go for using Google's Image search (safe search off) to view p0rn around the proxy filter they had. Dork.
the film is a worthless piece of excrement which is an insult to the medium The music was thrilling. If there had been no spoken dialog the movie would have been almost complete. I had a dream once where I overdubbed new dialog . . . I don't know if it was better or not. I woke up before I finished
Let us know if you ever have any other feedback The sidebar options for solutions are very sweet (email, create PDF, comment, print and add to favorites). I am very impressed. All your missing is the Lizard Monkey. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN=
how can I log in? When you create a case/ticket/incident you enter your email. I think they use that along with a generated password. I sent an email and the new autoresponse had that data. It would be nice if they used WC or OD id and password. Tracking my history will be harder if every
I had teh same error and submitted to [email protected]. Everyone loves consistant bug tracking (at least I do).
It would be nice if the advanced search in the library had a filter . . . .
