I figured consoles are cheaper than just the graphics card needed to play Crysis and such on PC.
Here is a review of Mass Effect by an Aussie. Be warned that the language may offend you. [link="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/2738-Zero-Punctuation-Mass-Effect"]WWW Link[/link]
Or may the version sold on the stateside has limitations as usual. It wasn't the carrier because we were trying to connect to Wifi at home and then at work. It got confused. Have you tried deleting an existing WiFi setup? It was in May. I had very high hopes for this phone. I blogged about my experience, but did not write down everything. My bad. @the1guru: You cannot please everyone 100% of the time. Some people ask me what is the point of changing the look of my Windows XP? It has 3 themes already, why more? There is nothing wrong with their perspective as much ours (people who do change the look of their desktop.) Should we stop telling about it because some people does not find any value in it. I say no. Tell it loud for the one person who may be interested in it. Jewel just showed the easy way to change ONE picture. Your
A friend of mine bought an N95 from Amazon a while ago. He wasn't happy. He let me use it for week. I liked the 5MP camera and the music player but the rest of the stuff including wireless networking and browsing had serious issues. He returned it and settled for iPhone.
I got Ratchet & Clank for my daughter and Mass Effect for myself. I may start playing it today.
I tried GIMP but settled for Paint.NET + Plugins for my first skin. Photoshop requires more dedicated learning. I am taking a slow approach to learning Photoshop.
I had a hard time with just the WB button images. Good icons are 10 times harder to make in my opinion.
Well there goes another and I didn't do anything special.
Unless you don't count your kind words on this site!
Thanks Philly. I really would like to see WB and Dreams in action on that TV. Haven't tried connecting the PC to it yet. I am waiting for the entertainment center to be setup this weekend so that I can bring the PC and may be servers to the living room. I also need to install Vista Ultimate to get the Dreams going. That may take more time. Have an old laptop with a max resolution of 1280x1024 in that cabinet but hasn't not switched on in a long time.
I have Dell 19" 1600x1200 at work and Gateway 21" 1680x1050 at home. Haven't tried connecting the PC to 60" Plasma @1920x1080.
@BoXXi, that bike is the most important gadget in the picture :). My son will be upset someday that it is not fully captured. @Philly: 60" Pioneer Elite Kuro Plasma.
Never did either of them, was just pointing to the folder that is similar in XP :)
Most of the stuff in the picture are toys I got this year. There are 4 more speakers at the back (7.1). Those IKEA cabinets will go this Saturday in favor of a large entertainment center.
For XP, the folder is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures
Happy Birthday Philly :CONGRAT:
Daiwa, not sure if the problem is same, but I had a post about logoff dialog buttons. [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=47&aid=168888"]WWW Link[/link]
This is a screen saver I wrote in 1999 using Win32 API's in VC++. It is a picture slide show + blank screen + scrolling marquee screen saver. Original size compiled in Visual Studio 97 (?) was about 75KB (!). I re-compiled this in VC 6.0 and the size now is 144KB. If I compile this in Visual Studio 2005, it looses visual style because of comctl32 reference. So, I will keep it in VS 6.0 for now. The original name was different. I changed it because I found that the name was al
Thanks Fuzzy. Merry Christmas!
I updated the skin today. The only criticism I received was about the start button. I expected more harsh reviews. I made a new start button to match the rest of the theme. Also made buttons for logoff and shutdown dialogs. One of the bugs I thought the skin had was probably a XP64 issue because I saw the same issue with another skin. I made this skin by creating individual images separately. From what I read around here, that is not a very efficient way to create a skin. But as a hobb
My first skin published on WC. Took a long time to get that done.
Never made any resolutions. I take breaks from smoking, that's all. Longest break was for 3 years.
Been busy with COD4 ;) Just completed the New Squadron Record achievement. Just one more achievement to go: Mile High Club. That's the hardest one, at least for me. I am glad there are no online achievements for this game.
I hate that games just keep cranking up the system requirements with no regard to those with lower-end systems.
Does that mean those cutting edge games should not be developed? I know some will say it is different, but let me try some analogies. - Should there be no HD programs on TV because not everyone can afford an HD TV? - Should there be no computers because poor people in the third world cannot afford them? They hate your computer! Th
