minor bug: After reloading a game, my ship has 3/0 moves left. It let me have all 3 moves. I think it should have been 0/3 moves left. On the next turn, everything was normal for all ships. I remember this bug from GalCiv1.

I have 2 requests for enhanced visual highlights in the game: 1) Currently selected ship. When I am zoomed out, especially when zoomed ALL THE WAY out to icons-only mode, it is almost impossible to tell which ship is currently selected and waiting for movement orders. It would be SOOOO helpful if there was a bigger "blue circle", or make the icon flash, or something to indicate what ship I have selected 2) On the colony management screen, it would be very very cool if you could
request: Please make the Iconians default to the Calamari ship set, instead of the Human ship set. After all, they are just walking calamari. DIE SQUID HEAD! DIE! MUHAHAHAHA! Plasma Weapons + Iconian Troops = All You Can Eat Calamari
bug/request: The TURN button reappears before the Colonies List has updated the production progress bars. It makes more sense to keep the button invisible (or hopefully "disabled" in the final game version) until all "in-between turns" operations are completed.
bug: When adding components to the Tiny hull in the Calamari set, the components seem to mount to the hull at wierd diagonal angles. This makes the ships look like crap. I remember having this same problem with tiny hulls of other ship sets on previous Beta versions.
bug: In my home system (as Iconians) my home star is Iconis. My home planet is "New Iconia". The other planets in the system *should* have names based on the Star, like "Iconis I" and "Iconis IV". They are erroneously named after my home PLANET, with names like "New Iconia I" and "New Iconia IV".
bug: Research Time to Completion is not recalculated properly when you change your global funding levels. It changes somewhat, but it is not completely accurate until you go to your next turn. I remember this was always a problem in GalCiv1.
bug: "The X Most Powerful Civs" quarterly report is still backwards. The weakest race is at the top, and the strongest is at the bottom.
ooookay... In my previous post, it should say this for item (2): 7 of the less than signs: then the string: "screens.str" I think the less than signs are messing up my post
bug or feature? I encountered a minor race called the "Dark Yor". When I first met them, they had a really cool ambassador picture. After the initial meet and greet, I noticed the following problems: 1) On Minor Races tab of the Foreign Affairs window, the race label for these guys says "Dark Yor". However, directly above their flag emblem, it says "Kwilasians". Is this some old minor race label left over from GC1 code? That name looks familiar... 2) In the Minor R
missing functionality: I am still not able to rename a Star, only individual planets. Stardock said on several occasions that we will be able to rename Stars.
bug: I chose the Populists when starting the game, but my Civilization Manager window says that I am the Federalists.
CTD bug: Upgrade a ship. Save with same name as original design. When prompted to overwrite existing design of that name, choose Yes. Crash To Desktop. Debug.err ends with this: ---- cut from end of debug.err ---- Debug Message: TotalTech: 996608 Debug Message: TotalTech: 996608 Debug Message: TotalTech: 996608 ASSERT ERROR in file .\Source\Screens\ShipDesignScreen.cpp at line 2696. complaint: You should not be able to start a new game if you still have Race Traits points left to spend. At the very least, it should display a warning that you are putting yourself at a disadvantage by starting the game without spending all your points. New players may not realize how to configure a race properly.
bug: While you are already in a game, click the Main Menu button. On the Main Menu, choose New Game. Pick a race and opponents, and start a new game. It will Crash To Desktop almost immediately, giving a variety of crash popup errors.
complaint: Choosing "Loose Clusters" for a map gives you almost the same as "Scattered". In some cases, Loose Clusters is more scattered than the Scattered option gives.
question: Why isn't Logistics in the abilities list for race config? I saw in the release notes that custom races get Logistics: +4, but I don't see any way to increase that for a race (other than the obvious tech research for Logistics)
I find it REALLY hard to tell what kind of ships I have in orbit by looking at the thumbnails on the Starport window. I am playing on a really crappy laptop while traveling, and I don't have the option of going to a bigger resolution. Tooltips that show the ship name and/or the ship model name would be a BIG help for those thumbnails.
Fine. The Thalan ambassador is female. I KNEW IT! She was checking me out.
bug: Pressing CTRL+B will cause a Crash To Desktop NOTE: I was trying to figure out if there are any cheat code key combos in the game. I know that CTRL+B isn't supposed to do anything.
bug: Resource icons on main map show through Fog of War after a few turns. I didn't notice exactly when they started to show through the fog.
On Starport window, on Location box (lower-left corner) the Population reads: 6.80 String Not Found
bug: Ship completion message is duplicated in Breaking News Headlines (top part of GNN window), but the new ship icon (blue thing that drops down on right side of screen) is not duplicated and behaves normally.
bug: On the first turn for a new game, when I click the TURN button, the following things appear to happen: 1) my ships with movement orders do not move (maybe they already used their move points?) 2) the Military and Social production progress bars on the colonies list do not get updated, but it seems like production is actually happening invisibly It is like the first turn is a fake turn at first glance, but I think the UI is just not being updated. I remember
On the Research window, it still says "1000 weeks" to complete research when it really means "never". I noticed that this was fixed in other places to now say "NEVER".
