bug? Should the "Xeno Bank Construction" tech be labeled in Green with the "green leaf" icon? I though the green leaf techs were related to biology or ecology or health.

bug: I have chosen a Good alignment in my current game. I got two Good techs so far in my tech tree: Subspace Rebounder Telepathic Defense Both are supposed to give a new Ship Defense component to me, but the new components never appear in the ship design components list.
random event bug: There was a random event that said the Torians discovered a Precursor device on Toria that turned it into a PQ 35 planet. In fact, it only turned it into a PQ 20 planet.
bug: Some planet tiles that are not buildable tiles say the following: Jungle No Bonus Sector Suitable for Building You cannot build on these tiles, so this text should be changed.
HAHAHAHA! Uber-pirate rush!! Argh matey!
main galaxy screen: after doing something to a ship such as moving or setting to sentry the focus changes to another ship. This is possibly the most annoying functionality I've ever experienced in a game. I'm surprised at this comment. The focus changes to the next ship with movement points left. Other TBS games have a similar interface (like
hmmm, well since I have BoogieBac's attention... I still find that generic background under the main map looks pretty bad. It should be WAY more subtle, so much so that you should barely notice it once you've been playing for awhile. We have to look at the background the whole time we're playing the game, so I think it deserves some attention. Sometimes, a bright part of the background makes it hard to see the "max ship rang
The sticky for "All beta testers read this!" states that we shouldn't post new bugs in someone else's post. Yet we're compiling these massive bug lists (4D list initiated by Icewyng is already at 41 posts). Are these massive lists prefered by Stardock? If so, shouldn't the sticky reflect that? That should probably be updated. For the last 2 r
ship upgrade complaint: I don't like to have to set ship names manually. After you upgrade a bunch of ships from design "Super Fighter" to design "Master Beater", the ships still have their original names like "Super Fighter 245". It would be great if the upgrade forced a new name, just as if it was a new ship, so I get a name like "Master Beater 329". It is really confusing to have an upgraded ship with an obsolete ship name.
interface bug: When you choose "Time Remaining" as the sort order for techs that you can research, it initially works fine. However, after you complete researching a tech the sort order gets messed up and never refreshes properly. You are forced to change to another sort order, then change back to Time Remaining to force it to refresh properly.
bug: For the second time, I have captured a minor race homeworld and found 2 Starport improvements on it, which should never happen.
bug: On the Trade tab, if you click on an active trade route to see the details, the Current Value and Max Value are always the same. I don't think Max Value ever works correctly.
bug or feature? I have chosen the Good alignment after discovering the tech that lets you pick one (I forget the name). I am still getting the Neutral techs in my Research list, such as "Neutrality Learning Center" and "Neutral Shipping". I am NOT getting access to research any Good projects yet.
bug or feature? When I captured a minor race's homeworld, I got to keep their Technological Capital improvement. Is this right? I think the capture of any race's homeworld should destroy all the "1 per race special project" improvements, such as Tech Capital, Financial Capital, Manu Captial, Homeworld Colony, etc
bug: Trade route limits are not properly displayed on the Trade tab. Except for the game start (when you don't have Trade yet and it shows all routes as Unavailable), it will always show 3 "Open" routes. If you use up a route, it just makes another "Unavailable" route say "Open", so there are always 3 open ones listed. In reality, it will only let you have 4 active routes (when you still only have the basic Trade tech). My second point: aren't you supposed to have only
Proud Canadian: small button on the top of the context area on the left side. So visibly, it would be at the bottom of the visible map near the left. Thanks man, I'll look for that.
Please make the Mass Driver attack sequences better (MiniBalls, Mass Drivers, etc). The stupid "two balls hover from both sides and slam the ship" thing has got to go! That is the thing that I think looks worst in the game for graphics right now.
dude, don't start ANOTHER Beta 4D bugs thread! Just add to the existing one.
old text bug: "Humans currently represent 23.0 percent of the galactic population..." I was not playing Humans.
minor bug: After I invade a planet using a troop transport (and the battle stuff and all concluded) the game returns to the main screen. It is showing the current ship as "Troop Ship I 293" (my invasion ship) even though it was used up in the invasion. The current ship display should probably be cleared after an invasion, or any other event that uses up the current ship in the process.
you guys make me laugh!! The "Vegans" minor race lives on the planet "Dubhe" (doobie?). Those guys were probably stoned all the time, because they were the first minor race to fall. BUMMER!
bug or feature? When I conquered the homeworld of a minor race, I was allowed to keep their Civilization Capital improvement. Should this be allowed? It might make more sense to downgrade that building to a Colony Start improvement after the planet is conquered.
bug: Somehow, a minor race (Dark Yor in my game) built 2 Starports on their homeworld. After I conquered the planet, I decommissioned one of them. After I did that, the other one didn't allow me to build ships anymore. The workaround was to just decomm the second one also, then build a new Starport. It was all fine after that. Still, there shouldn't be a way to build 2 Starports, since that is pointless and wastes tiles on the AI planets.
request: The Planetary Assault combat window shows the total casualties for both sides as soon as you start the battle sequence. It would be nice if it didn't show that until the combat graphics sequence was over. Better yet, if the casualties mounted during the battle sequence, that would be really cool. PS: I'm loving the troops and tanks combat thing. That's exactly what I hoped to see in the final game!!!
question: How the heck to you create a Rally Point?!? I cannot find controls for that anywhere. In GalCiv 1 there was a little button on the main screen, but I can't find anything similar in Beta 4D.
