Sorry for the time delay but I just got the disk I had ordered and it came with 32 and 64 bit, problems solved. As to what had gone wrong; it seems that some of the toolbars present when upgraded pissed IE 10 right the hell off so it loaded improperly. Resetting IE 10 solved the problem and I was able to get the toolbars back that hubbie wants. Now that it is working well enough, he has to decide if he wants a clean install or not.
