Can't change cursor appearance in CursorFX Stardock Forums

I am using GEAR as cursor appearance, but trying to change it in e.g. vistascape, the cursors do not change. system: Windows Vista bussiness (6.0 build 6002) Memory: 3 Gb Laptop: Acer travelmate 7730 please tell me what to do, or is there a limit to the number of times one can change the cursorappearance.
