Just wanted to double check on user made ship removal. The way to clear out every ship you made is to deleate all the files in : C:\Documents and Settings\...\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships Correct? I have also been experimenting on how to get rid of core ships to no avail, anyone else had luck with this?
Heroine4Life
In my last game my starbases destroyed any enemy stupid enough to attack them. A fully loaded starbase takes something like 39 constructors. But to get the last couple requires researching pretty far into the regular defense and weapon techs. I think the max with just the starbase fortifications and defenses is 37 for the resource bases. The military base can ta
haha thats awsome i got the 1.x too. Thanks frog. Major props most games the creators treat everyone on the forum as idiots and really dont get on them very much. As a result i am sure i have gotten 3 people to actualy buy copys and 2 to try a burned copy. You guys rock, keep up the good work.
well if you pressed upgrade it consideres it an upgraded version of the ship but it shouldnt upgrade your ships automaticly and take tou the money.
Yes. Once you reach Advanced no need for money is needed.
my 2 fav. lines 1) "'Woot' or atleast thats what our scientists were yelling..." -- thats just to great 2) "Its better, ok. What do you want the PR was out today"
congoRats(bool noob) { raise arm(right); reach out(forward, right); int rep = 1; do ( pathead(noob); ++rep } while (rep } is that an ATTEMPT at c++?
i dont mean to keep bumping this... but is anyone reading this/caring/going to reply? its a pretty big thing if its not supposed to be like that.
it even says in the "report" - "no further spending into espionage is needed" you can stop tech stealing by turning off tech trading, but other then that, your boned you should have your espionage maxed out and try to steal some of there tech. Also a good way of getting tech is taking over a small planet of theres.
1) work on your tittles.... 2) play the must upto date version 3) not everything you think is a bug, actualy is a bug.
is this that "luck" factor?
Lord Z hit the nail on the head.
Ya i know i just thought it was funny cause the planet cant even support a huge population due to the low planet size, its the games way of saying "haha looser look ill give you bonuses where you dont need them" i have a class 32 planet with 0 bonuses...
You know whats awsome, getting 700% manufacturing bonus, or 300% food bonus... whats not so awsome...
i like bugs
Actually I have the same thing. When you focus on research, my manufacturing capital outpaces my research capital in research. The manufacturing capital has a 700% resource tile. But obviously since i need to focus on research to get it, I'm losing all that manufacturing. i dont believe you g
actualy you also get a damage bonus. its about +1 damage for every weapon on it. Dont believe me? then why do Defenders (core ships) have 2 attack in orbit.
1 factory 1 research 1 entertainment (i tax really high) then when i get nuetral ethics i get 1 more entertanment and 1 farm
Pun time? -From a Research based Race "If your not part of the solution your part of the percipitate."
Make a list of ideas you thought that would work... and then you got shut down. -- I thought i could build an army from freighters and just rely on first attack so i reasearched up to nano rippers and just made these bad @$$ freighter something like 24 mass driver attack and 10 moves a turn (this is early on in the game mind you), i start to attack the first person *doh* he has a fleet of tinys that just 1-0-0 attack ships that ki
Not a bug. Not series. The only seires thing is people like you bug me. Just cause you dont understand something doesnt make it bug. If you have so much economy then you can use that to buy stuff (upgrades). And i bet to get this amazing economy you A) have high economy rate B) lots of markets. Solution a) put those skill points somehwere else.... B) build more factories / labs.
the maximum number of people is easy each basic farm provides 4m *blah blah* the only important thing is the 4, 4 *blah blah* units = 4 b people. Your orginal colony thingy makes 10 food, so 10b people can live on your home planet with out any farms.
its not using it to exploit... its not intentiall if you use a bug and your not even aware of it, are you cheating?
