yea it has to do with how there relationship with each other are. if two people are friendly with each other they wont attack, and it wont even show up.

"they come back" Ya thats the part that makes me sad. Core designs aren't that good. I am not expecting the creators of the game to make them, cause that would be to hard you would need like 10x more ships for different tech routes. But there are only 3 core designs i ever use. Colony ship Constructor Defender and the Starting Survey Ship So what if in the -- C:\...\GalactivCivII\Data\Englis

I used to get those awsome 700% mineral bonuses often in 1.0x but ever since the latest patch i havent even seen on any planet and just general planet bonuses have also been in decline. anyone else experience this?

I found this ammusing. For those that know C/C++ or some other programing langs. (aida) you will know what the matter is. I was playing a game on large and it was neer the end, i had just bought 4 influencial starbases and was planning on winning that way. I was making over 10k a turn. So i didnt want to waste my time actualy beating the last people into submission i just started hitting end turn over and over till i won (this is

i like the smaller sizes like normal and less and putting 3-6 enemys on normal. This makes so you dont waste 30min of your life trying to micro each planet per turn and the fighting happens in under 100 turns. Just watch out for Arceans they love to influence victory on a map that small (%#!$ Arceans, i will defeat you)

I used to be able to have my tax at 100% and my production at 100% in the earlier versions. There is no problem with a higher tax rate, my people were really happy with me (100%) so i wanted to tax them abit more. I was making over 1k a turn at 80, but more money the better.

here is something i thought funny 80% tax = 100% aproval (this is with all my + moral modifiers and what not) the tax on each planet was giving -126% 81% tax = 1% aproval (thats not a typo its 1%, the - modifier was at 321%, the - modifer at 82 was at 340% ) so its not just exponetial growth, but there is a spike.

The way defence works is the value of the armor if its the same or the square of the value for other types. So a ship with 1 armor in each spot has 3 armor against all ( 1 + 1^.5 + 1^.5 = 3 , square of 1 is 1) so just putting that on a ship is a huge advantage. Not only that but 1 armor are cheap (usualy around 20-50 cost) and relativly small, the size of one rocket based weapon. The above comment about where to use what is right on.

No, they do not stack. Staking in most games means Base * value1 * value2 20% would be 1.2. Since Base * 1.2 is a 20% increase in base. (i hope you understand this, its basic math) The way it works is that its Base * (value1 + value2) So yes both %s/values are applied but there added together first. Dont let this get you down that is still alot.

I am glad you got your score deleated. You exploited a bug. And you claim you did not cheat. Knowingly exploiting a bug is cheating, i hate to brake it to you. You invested a week. Do it again but this time dont exploit the bug you seem to have to much time on your hands as it is. *wishing you got more then just your score deleated

Next time please get more information about the bug. Posting 'there is a bug in the game' doesnt help. Step 2, take a breath calm down, and use proper grammer. It is very hard to read your posts, no offence if this isnt your first languege, you rock your better then most americans. I tried to recreate what you describe and the bug did not surface.

yes cause you can research many hull types in turn 1 what it is more likely is that miniturzation if you started all 3 times with the same race... then... its a way of gc2 giving you the finger, and i wouldnt stand for that

Ya but by the sounds of it your max pop isnt that high. Which in the long run will make more money. Also its needed for defence of a planet and making troop transports. I have succesfully replled 2 waves of troop transports with 1base that had a crap load of people on it.

good advice. but something i have noticed that no one has mentioned is trade i make over 100bc from trade thats sending all my ships to the same planet thats the closest. this allows you to keep that productin level at 50-100% in the early game. I also wanted to add some personal experience. I thought it would also be a good idea to 'specialize' certain plants. Build just massive factorys here, jack pop on this pla

actualy 1 square doesnt = a parsec. 1 parsec is one of the squares on the mini map. Ya one of those big squares, those are the parsecs. Thats why a ship with a range of 5 parsecs cant go 5 more squares but practiacly the entire 'large' map size i also believe that a starship should be able to attack a ship that is directly next to it, but the ship should be able to escape on a role based on the upgrade of the starbase and the engine

This is on the beta release. Even if you have not made contact with anyone else, you may still talk to everyone. Instead of going threw the dimplomatic screen you use the CTRL 0-9 and you can talk to everyone. This can be very powerful if you beggin tech trading right away.
