Well, maybe I'll find out tomorrow...gotta head to bed. I am using Firefox on a Mac laptop, btw (I don't use Safari for this site because it never seems to work). I could go use my PC, but heck, I wanted to lie here comfortably with the laptop...lol.

I've been replying to a few JU articles tonight, and after I type up my response and press send, the page does not show my reply. What in theee heck is going on. :P

Glad to see responses for both sides. I guess when it comes down to it, I would probably "err" on the side of being extra protective. I just can't see myself allowing that much freedom to my child, regardless of whether or not he/she is mature. I would just hope I would think of better (and safer) ways to let him/her experience some independence.

I read a few articles today about a columnist in NYC (Lenore Skenazy) who allowed her 4th grader son to take a subway by himself from an Upper Eastside store back to their Manhattan home. She gave him a Metrocard, A Map, $20, some change in quarters, and told him "I'll see you at home." The reasoning behind this was that the son wanted to experience independence, so she allowed him to have this experience (he successfully made it home, btw). Needl

Man, I need to get a Wii....I'm not a big gamer, but I remember enjoying Mario Kart the handful of times I got to play it. Definitely need to consider getting one. :)

Yikes. It sucks when you depend on a medication so much. I've been there, but somehow, with enough willpower, you manage to get on without it. Hope you are rid of these headaches soon!

hiya, Mickey. I really do hope your sneezing has gone back to normal by now. I was this way for about two weeks. I think I made it worse by thinking about it so much. Then, one day, voila...I sneezed again. Just to ease your fears, I hope you've had a follow up with the doctor. Best of luck!

Donna, I am so sorry that you are going through some bad stuff right now. I'll say a prayer for your nephew and uncle. Gosh, it seems like things are hitting you from everywhere...I really hope things look much better for you in the days ahead. If no one else has volunteered, I wouldn't mind doing the April Birthdays for you on your behalf (I can start on tomorrow's if you want) :) I don't think I can do the creative poems you always put on, but I'll try my

[quote who="RoyLevosh" comment="13"] I had a cousin that used to work at the White Sands missle range. Is it still there? I hadn't thought of it in ages. Anyway, other than going to Carlsbad caverns once and to Ruidosa as a child I haven't been many times to New Mexico.Oh! Wait! I DID go snow skiing (or what was supposed to be snow skiing, lol) once with a bunch of friends at Red River once. Boy, what a trip that was! But it was fun anyway! (cool pics, too BTW!)<br /

Hiya, Donna. :) Don't get too down about yourself for not contacting your loved ones sooner. Like your title says, sometimes there ISN'T enough time in the day. It is so nice, though, that you have siblings that care enough about you to worry. :) That stinks about the tickets. I hope the stars line up for you and your family soon so that you have a wonderful day out. :)
