Hi, This is more of a nice to have feature. With the default Start Menu it shows when a new application is installed with the word "New" under the icon. You can normally get rid of this by just right clicking on the icon in the normal Windows start menu and getting the context menu to show. I have been using ObjectDock for a very long time. I used to use the old free version because all I ever needed was one dock. I recently had to purchase a new hard drive and decided to get a SSD. I have never had an issue with ObjectDock until I started using this SSD. I have the settings to have it pinned to the desktop and not to pop up when I mouse over it. Object Dock 2.0... the worst I have ever used! in ObjectDock WinCustomize Forums

I have been using Object Dock and all of the other stardock software for many years now and I have not ever seen anything as horrible as Object Dock 2.0. I didn't even know there was an update, the only reason I found out about it was because I was reinstalling windows and went to reinstall object dock. It is near impossible to customize, the menu's seem hidden and it does not see updates to file's unless you quite and restart it. It does not have default icons for programs
