I am being sued by a guy I did a project for. He is suing me instead of the business. He is claiming that he was supposed to get features for a product he didn't even buy. Worst of all though is that he is suing for programming on this product and he hasn't even paid for it. He is an ass and I stopped working for him when he refused to pay the next installment. I guess he thought if he sued me I would just run over and do the work for free. He

I live in Shreveport, LA and our smoking ban goes into effect tomorrow. There were heated debates over just what was and was not to be included in the ban. If a business sells alcohol they allow smoking. That will include most of the nice restaurants. It cuts out McDonalds and the like but most of them were already smoke free. All public parks are now banned. You can't even smoke outside ... what is that. The largest debate was over allowing smoking in
Another IT guy here. We are a small comapny though. We have four IT guys on our staff. So, While my primary function is network and telephones, I have to be a jack of all trades. Sometimes I am the guy who moves furniture.
I haven't seen the ABC show but I did see Corey on CBS this morning. This is what I think in a nutshell... I read the contract/application for American Idol and you have to basically give them full rights to do with you what they want. Should you be offered a paid contract they own you. He is pissed because the producers of the show have made it difficult for him to secure a recording contract. I think his talent and attitude have do
I am right there with you. As I drive my paid off 1994 Ford Exploder throught the poor neighborhoods in town I sit in awe. I sit in awe of the fact that most of the vehicles are Navigators and Tahoes sitting on "dubs". The rims on these vehicles alone are worth more than my Exploder. I have a good job and I am putting my wife through school. Our life is not one of lavish things. In fact, we are happy when we can afford to go sit at the McDonalds and s
I have been ADD all of my life. I am Dyslexic and other learning disabilities. I have always gotten by without the use of meds. I just learned how to cope. Check and double check everything to make sure I didn't get it wrong. I still made mistakes even after all of that. I am pretty far up on the IQ scale and these problems have always held me back. I have the aptitud
I am all for the stiffening of the drivers license system. It has and still is easy to forge or fake and ID. Mostly, not because it is easy to duplicate but because the people responsible for checking the IDs are not doing their part. This is a problem that gets worse as it falls down the security line. (toughest at airports easiest at the convenience store) I want an ID that requires validation of some sort. I don't even have a problem putting my fing

Point well taken and I guess that sounded much more harsh than I intended it to.
an incredible hundred points in a day ... holy crap I might not be last user in the list anymore Damn ... I'm going to have to kill tis thread before I get off the last page.
I would guess that for a few it is less a game and more of an affirmation; some sort of success in an otherwise empty life. But, you could hardly call that person a ho.
Dynosoar - Sounds more like crack than a keyboard.
Yes I am gathering points but no worries I am barely a blip on the radar. I am a fly on the wing of a B52.
I give you in example... Gideon MacLeish - This is humerous Link When you google "are you a points whore?" Any guesses at the number one return?
I understand the joke aspect. Mine was only an observation.
well ... if it's only for fun Don't get serious about it
I'm all for those other days.
That's not really what I was hoping for in the article I am glad that you know who you are. I wasn't surprised about that though.
The shameless attempts at promotion are rampant here at JU. I guess I am slightly guilty of that myself. Chances are if you are reading this you were only hoping to "bump" one of your friends in the ranks. I am not sure why numbers become so important. I have been around the internet's ability to offer instant, free exchange of thoughts for a long time now. I
If you are in your early 20's it could be migranes. (They usually start in your early 20's and stop somtime almost as suddenly as they start) My wife has suffered with them since she was 25. She has taken counless medicines to no avail. They all seem to work for just a little while. If you are seeing spots, see a doctor soon. If not you should still have it checked out. If it is migranes you can atleast get something perscribed that will help make you
I have put it on a couple of users machines at my office as well as on all of my personal PC's. I am satisfied with it so far. I have never really had problems with spyware personally, but we have a few users here that are riddled with on a regular basis. We have always used Adaware (free version) with only one major drawback. It doesn't actively scan. Since it doesn'tactively scan you are infected by the time you run the scan. The active filter from t
My wife’s grandmother (whom I am very close to) got seriously ill this week and was hospitalized. Immediate reaction was to jump in the car and go. Her grandfather is old and will need some help and grandmother and family will need the support. I have very few paid days off left this year because of a broken ankle I suffered in January. I was willing to stay as long a
The evolution of the Disney Theme Park will be that your entire trip is planned before you get there. Having been there several times and most recently in January of this year, (this is the best time of year to go ... weather is great and lines are short) we always like to find out what is next. We found out that they are kicking around the idea that you will have the ultimate fast pass. You are scheduled to ride at a specific time and date prior to ar
While that is an all too often incident these days. It is hardly the case we are dealing with. All of the parents on all of the teams want a good fair game. These kids put thier heart and soul out there and if it is a win it should be a win. My point is that the kids who are calling the game just don't care. I wan't to see a good game win or loose. I would be happy to see my guys walk off the field of battle with a loss if they left all the
I don't support a ban on pits. It's just not something that could be done. At this point, you might as well try to take away the right to keep and bear arms. I live in Shreveport, LA. This is the city that had the street where the postman refused to deliver mail (and was supported by the USPS) because he got shot at several times. This is certainly not the rule for our fair city. Every city has it's problem neighborhoods. Well, last week that
