My older son suffered a fall with a badly cut upper lip when he was 3 years old. Had to be taken to the ER, papoosed while scared out of his mind, and have a plastic surgeon repair the wound. Very traumatic experience for him. In an effort to soothe him & cheer him up, we took him within a day or two to see Star Wars: Episode IV (we wanted to go see a lighthearted movie, he had no clue obviously). He has been a complete Star Wars junkie ever since and, even at ag

For better or worse, a smart phone has become an indispensable tool in my line of work and I find a lot of conveniences come along for the ride. Just wish privacy concerns didn't tag along, too. I could probably resume a land-line-only life but it would be noticeably less efficient. To my way of thinking, if you're willing to communicate via the internet on a computer, it's really no different using a smart phone - the computer just happens to fit in your pocket. 0.02<
" edit: columns!!! " Boy, now I'm even more confused.[e digicons];P[/e]
Fellow boomers have to stick together these days.[e digicons][/e]
Kinda confusing, given that there's 5 rows. [e digicons][/e]
Good to hear from you again, Mumble. Hard to believe it's been seven years. Blog on.
Sounds like you may be using Object Desktop Manager. Save yourself a lot of headache and just download the individual .exe's on your My Downloads page. Same serial number works for activating all the individual apps. Just stash them in a folder & install from there. You won't regret it. Plus you'll have locally stored backups. You get to the page by clicking on your avatar in the upper right corner after logging in to store.stardock.com using the emai
Sometimes windows need... curtains. I guess.
My experience has been that only already-colorized bits of cursor images can be changed. Any part that is gray stays gray. So replacing the particular cursor is probably your only option. Not sure myself how to do that.
Brave has been my primary browser for a couple of years now and it's been rock solid, with perfect rendering. Brave plus a VPN should suffice for most people.
The only winning move is not to play.
Does anyone have an idea of what an ESU plan for Win7 Pro would cost?

FWIW, here's what I, as a long term customer, still use on all my rigs routinely: Windowblinds IconPackager Start10 CursorFX It would be great to have new/updated skins, icons and cursors but if the source material is drying up, please do what you can to sustain the usefulness of what is available for those apps.
If you've disabled Cortana (and I don't see in running in TaskMangler) & have no BT devices, are you good?
Nothing last forever and no good deed goes unpunished. Wish skinning was as simple and enjoyable as it was when I first started, just a set of images and a text file. It was time-consuming even then, but a fun challenge to master the tricky little details of making all the puzzle pieces fit visually and to come up with an interesting look. There are some greatly talented skinners still producing very high quality skins here. paid and free. Just not as many as before.
"Your Object Desktop subscription is about to expire." That would be subject line of the email Stardock sent me the last time I was due to renew. If Stardock calls it a subscription, seems like it is a subscription. I notice, however, that they often refer to it as a 'membership' of late.
I've said it for years and I'll say it again . . . teh fact that it's a subscription could be more clear on teh product page. Taht this topic comes up as often as it does (even if it's pretty infrequently) is indicative of an issue that could be fixed.
While I agree there's no reason SD couldn't make this more obvious, it is still incumbent on the purchaser to know what he/she is buying - that the Object Desktop
AOL, in 1983 after getting my first Apple IIe (2 5.25 floppy disc units - 2!). The nut on that job was north of $2k, a boatload of money (even now), and the entire computer I'm using to post this is half the size of the floppy box alone, not to mention a third of the price. Crazy. Didn't really participate in any online communities until WC in 2001 & JU in 2004.
Been using Brave for quite a while now. I liked the original muon version better for its site-rendering accuracy & quality but that's been mostly maintained in the new chrome-based version. The muon version was also missing some features that chrome plugins I find useful provide, If they are to be believed, Brave's developers claim the browser incorporates strong privacy protections. I lean toward believing that, Brendan Eich being the big cheese there.
Decided to try removing the exclusion first, since you indicated it's not excluded on your rig, and bingo - Reader DC window displays normally with WB running now. Go figure. Thanks for helping me sort it out, basj.
Maybe it's a skin-specific issue. I'll try some 'supplied' skins & follow up.
I'm on Win10 Pro 1803. The following issue has been present for some time, since at least WB version 10.7.4, perhaps 10.65. A recent update to Reader DC has made the issue worse - the title bar had been missing but the menu bar & window controls had been visible making it usable if funny looking until the recent Adobe update. Just decided to update to 10.8.0 to see if the issue would go away but it hasn't. The issue occurs despite total exclusion (Do Not Skin) of
I've been using TypeApp for iOS for about 2 years now & it's excellent. They now have a Windows desktop app in beta which is available for download. typeapp.com
