If it weren't for the "Few and Faithful" this might just be considered a "Vacant Thread!! WOW..don't let that happen, call your friends, your neighbors, people you don't know just get them to stop by. Come on you can do it.
Been here and there, mostly here and now I'm back, again, for while or until dinners ready.
Came by last night and the lights were off! I thought the party was over. Oh, and I over slept this morning, which means nothing since I'm RETIRED!!!
Man, I over slept! Like the folks above have stated, you don't want to run two anti virus programs. Trust experience, it's alot better than what can happen. As far as which one you run, AVG is very popular, that doesn't make it the best free one. I run it because it works and I have not had any problems. Find one that you like and is recommended by other users.
602 MB since 20041106. Most of that coming in the last 3 months.
I put in a ticket yesterday about WC Browser and a Gallery and Library bug that sounds like the same problem. It works and then doesn't. Waiting on a reply from Stardock.
Feb 1st, can Spring be far behind. When do Pitchers and Cathers have to report for Baseball Spring Training? PLAYBALL!!!
There will be alot of XP users for awhile unless something happens and they start giving away new computers with Vista loaded on them. If Stardock folks like Zoomba are still running XP at home I kind of think we are okay for while. I'm sure though at sometime in the future there will be an announcement as Vista overtakes XP as the OS of choice. Life goes on and those that adapt see the light of a new day.
Just want to do a head count for pizza, could everyone who is not here raise thier hand. Ha, caught you wanting to raise didn't I.
Thanks for the link, already sent it on it's way to a friend who could use some good news.
Well the situation with WC Browser came back so I contacted tech support to seek help. I'm thinging it's on my side, but can't think of any thing that I changed. There were some Windows updates yesterday. That couldn't have anything to do with it.
If any one stumbles across this the gallery in WC Browser seems to be working again. Not sure if the problem was on WC side or my side.
I read everything that I find about Vista and have come to the decision or conclusion (which is in most of the articles) that I will have Vista on a computer when I get a new one. The cost of upgrading my current computer and the price to upgrade the software far exceeds what upgrading to Vista currently offers me. Thanks for asking. Here's a thought. Over the next say 6 months keep the forum vistors updated on how Vista is working for you. I only say this because you appear to be someone w
I just want to see if I have missed something. The Gallery links on the WC home page that are on the right hand side work. When I use WC Browser links on the left side by clicking Skins and Themes and access galleries that way, some work some don't. Those that do when you click on a thumbnail to preview you get "Page cannot be found" yet you can view a large preview of the skin. I've clean out cookies and temp files everytime I boot my system. Is this a problem that being worked or an "oops"?
Hello once again for the first time!
Please check the link. I clicked and it took my DSL connection down. Finally had to restore in order to get it working again.
Back again for another ride on the roller coaster of life!
It doesn't matter what my personal opinion of Vista is, your announcment is impressive as it applies to Vista now and in the future, it also raises the stature and status of Stardock as it applies to computer customization. I'm sure you are proud of this step as I am sure you are aware that there are probably alot of folks out there that are very envious of you and Stardock. Great job. <IMG sr
It would appear that people who have to earn a living has cut into visits to the forum. I'm wondering just how many out there aren't confronted by that nasty four letter word...WORK!
Looking Good!! Have a great day.
HA! Monday, the start of the work week for some....but not for all of us. Some can just hang out in the forums relaxing!!!
Isn't that just great, I finally feel like I managed to remember all the rules (without having to write them down) and somebody has to come along and change them. Can anyone remember the reason for this change or was it slipped in on us when we weren't paying attention? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Yum.gif" border=0
Just finished the once a week scan of the computer, clean as a shinny new penny, which is about all I have till the 1st. Now its off to the forums, see ya later.
Everything that has been written makes sense but I'm not sure it gets to the root of the problem. There needs to be an Adult in the room if you want the Children to behave. Not trying to make lite of the concerns expressed here, just alittle basic human behavorial traits need to be understood when there are more than two people trying to control the conversation. Got to go now feel a draft on the back of my neck, someone must of left a window opened. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/
