This is 4th or 5th visit today I'm sure there will be more.

If you visit the forums reguarly you will find that when it comes to browsers (and sometimes all software) what works for one user doesn't always work for the next. I've not had problems with IE, others will swear by FF. Suggestion, find one that works with your system, then go try one of the others (FF, Opera etc.). If you find that another one works, then you can make a decision as to which one to use. One thing to keep in mind, at sometime you will find that you will need IE, I would leav
That was also a good option. Glad to know that you're back up and running. If you've been around computers awhile you'll realize that some things just happen. The system restore usually corrects them.
I was just looking at IE 7 and have another thought about your problem. Do you see the Tools item? If so click it, you should see links to menus and tool bars. If nothing is maked click on them, you should see changes on the screen. Try this before my first suggestion. Post back with what happens.
It does seem strange that it would work after installing it and then not work today. Did you change any settings? If not something could have not happened correctly with the install. I would go to the add or remove function in windows. Look for IE 7, if it's there remove it. It is set up to revert back to IE 6 when you do this. Restart you machine and download IE 7 again. I can't remember if after installing IE 7 if you are prompted to restart, I would. If it's not working then I would c
Hi there, back for a visit. Yesterday was a down day for me. Imagine living in the desert southwest of the US and it snows! I had to use a broom to keep the snow off my satellite dish, life is so tuff and demanding.
I do believe the Kitty is seeing it's potential. The little catnip mouse we got it is in for a whole new experience!
WOW! Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.
Back for a last look before putting on the jammies.
I'm only 58, there are lot older here than me!
Back to the original question "By what name shall I call you?" I'm one of those old schooled people that believes it's in how we interact with each other that dictates what we call each other. You may well remember (before all this computer stuff) there were people you met that no matter what would always be refered to as Mr., Mrs. or Miss out of respect and others whom you would never ever think of calling them anything but by thier first name. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/
Hello to one and all, glad to see you stopped by the forums, even if you didn't stop by here, which means you're not reading this. Sometimes life confuses me, the rest of the time I'm trying to figure out what happened sometimes.
If you haven't obtained your copy of JAFO's book I would wait a few weeks. They are supposed to publish it in story book form with pop up pictures.
Yipeeeeeee. The Browser is back and working fine.
Bandit4edu surely you jest. Whom amongst us does not already have the “JAFO Updated and Unabridged Thesaurus of Words Typed, Spoken or Referred to on Web-Based Forums” (Merriam –Webster, 2007) in both hard cover and paper back editions? A time clock you say, well I, I, I never in my whole life have used a time clock to “punch in” how impersonal. This Community stays a Community because of its persona
Maybe the next time seldomseen, thanks again for the helpful info. I'm going to try and work with Sysmetrix. I'll post a new thread on how that works out.
Darn if I couldn't find anything on "My Shadow". System stayed up all day so it would look like the little bugger is gone. You folks don't need to worry about the cat. Fixed aplace at the foot of my bed for tonight, bring the cute little thing back tomorrow. Please leave a little milk in the bowl for the morning. It's now time to go watch some movies have a big bowl of popcorn and scratch.........whoops a little to much info there. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Wink.gif"
Just what was needed on a rainy afternoon.
Appreciate the replys. I've download MBM and set it up. My mother board came up showing three senors for temps but it doesn't identify what they are for. I suppose it does make a difference. Mime are currently at 98F, they do change but usually stay within 1 or 2 degress of each other. Lets all go out for pizza and beer and we can talk about what temp range is good or bad. There's a nice place about a couple of blocks from the house, last one there buys the first round. <img src="http://
seldomseen thanks for the reply. Off hand do you know of any widgets or sysmetrix that are in the library that would use the MBM info? I looked but I could have missed them.
I’ve been tinkering with my PC over the past 6 months or so upgrading the video card to one that has more memory (128 vs. 256), adding a WinTV card and upgrading my slow 512MB of ram to faster 2GB of ram. Yesterday I moved the "Box" out of that computer desk (we all buy one); because I noticed that there was a lot of heat being generated. It took a moment for me to think, hit my forehead with the palm of my hand and have a "Homer Simpson" moment before I realized that I probably cause
tawoods, all is well with the computer, for now. I've come to learn the computers should be handled as "work in progress", there is always something thats needs to be tweaked.
I have returned, what the heck, I just turned around. Sometimes life is just a little confusing. Where did everyone go?
I've just been able to sign back on, had a little bit of a computer problem. Something called My Shadow found it's way onto my PC. It would boot, let me log on, windows would open, Object Bar would apply and then everything stopped. Opened task manager and there was an application My Shadow running. Tried Google, but didn't find anything. I was able to go back to a previous point and then ran the Virus and Adware scans, found nothing. Well it's of to the forums. See you tomorrow or later t
Alright, this is what life is all about, a community. Although this one is populated by some rather strange and weird individuals. It would appear that I won't need that glue to keep this thread connected after all. Everyone have a great day, see you all around the campus.
