I just got toasted on my first attempt on normal difficulty.
Yip I am also finding it quite difficult. I finished the first mission on Normal and then thaught I would do the second one on Challenging, That was a silly idea... LOL Man this is a great game. I love a challenge! :H
that there were big intergalactic galaconcert with all the stars from one end of galaxy to another on X
What cool ideas you have!!! :D I agree about adding personality to the governors of the planets, but I think this may be a bit of a tall order for GalCiv 2. Maybe if they can start to implement some of this stuff, like events according to planet morale etc. and more personalised governors. But the full effect we may only see in GalCiv 3<b

Wouldn't it be cool if you could tell your ship to auto survey, but not to explore eggs.. Anyway, I like Techs idea...
Let the space monster follow your survey ship to local alien race space.
:HOT:
They're strong because they're friggin' space monsters. If they weren't strong they would be boring.
Yes thats true, They should be strong and more than capeable of destroying my Survey ship, which is why I should then hurry my survey ship outa there and immediately dispatch two, maybe three warships to go after it... not my entire
friggin'
fleet! :SURPRISED: :HOT:

I know the monsters are supposed to be strong but there is a limit... about the fifth or sixth turn inot the game I encountered a space shark with an attack of 56 or something like that! :SURPRISED: Thats a bit much at that stage of the game. :HOT:

Another thing I mentioned on the GC2 web forum was a little feature that has been lost in todays games. Zooming into your colony... Civilization had it, Moo2 had it, Colonization had it... and then, nothing. You could zoom into your colony and see the buildings it had built on a pretty backdrop relating to the class of the planet. Its a small feature but it really adds a little personality to the game and your colonies. Its fun to see your colony gr

Here is a quote from another post regarding the more efficient use of your spending cash. This is what I would like to see...
If I had one planet with the capability to spend 100 bc on construction per turn but I chose to allocate 200 bc from the economics screen, then the planet would build faster but would lose a certain percentage to inneficiency...I really hope they sort that out in GC2 (hint hint nudge nudge)
:HOT:

Yes that is what I thaught I was seeing... Its very frustrating, That is one thing in Moo3 that was done very well. They introduced inneficiency. If I had one planet with the capability to spend 100 bc on construction per turn but I chose to allocate 200 bc from the economics screen, then the planet would build faster but would lose a certain percentage to inneficiency... I really hope they sort that out in GC2 (hint hint nudge nudge) ;) ;) ;) ;) :HOT:

Hi, I have another question... Lets say I have say two planets. Both have the same PQ and population, Exactly the same... and Morale and whatever else... Now after adjusting my economy I am spending say 30% on military. Now lets say that equates to exactly 100bc... Now I tell both of them to build ships. The one builds a scout and the other builds a constructor. On turn one I assume they will each spend 50 bc building the ships... Now

YES!!! If you imagine this to be a real life situation and we were all prancing around the galaxy wiping out the Torians, Yor and Drengin, how hard would it be to know who someone is trading with? Send some spy in and all he has to do is walk through the nearest Shopping mall to see what goods are on sale. You wouldn’t even need to infiltrate the government or anything… Trade is public, not a big secret. You aren’t doing some secret arms deal. Trade af

I've got a funny one... I purchased GC in Store. Then I purchased AP over the net and downloaded... I have registered AP with SDC and that works fine getting updates etc. But I can't register GC. I emailed support and they said that I must go register online to their website, so I did that Still doesn't work. I made sure to use the correct email address. Its not a major problem because I am playing AP, but every time I open SDC it tri
