Just want to add my two cents, and I'm proably just reiterating what has been previously said. I think that something along MadIce's ideas need to be implemented if, in the long run the skinning / desktop modding community (at least in regards to the apps that we use here) is to thrive Consider: With each passing version, WB gets more sophisticated, allowing a whole new array of things for skinners to play with and learn. DesktopX gets more sophisticated as well, gaining mo

A few things: Nextstart has the ability to hide the normal Windows taskbar and use its own (which is probably what you're seeing). Newer Nexstart themes have a taskbar similar to a windows one, while older themes just have tasktiles (no bar). You can tell it whether to leave the Windows taskbar alone or use NextStarts by going into NexStart config and, I think, Go to the global options (The config screen with the globle). I think there is a checkbox there. That big icon you're

Spam is that nasty canned meat that you can buy at the market. Here's the homepage of if: http://www.spam.com Monty Python then made a skit about it, in which in a cafe, all they have to offer are variations of meals made from spam. You can read the skit here: http://www.detritus.org/spam/skit.html You can read more about how the word spam became synomomous for unwanted internet junk here: http://www.templetons.com/brad/spamterm.html [Message Edited] [Message Edited]

Plus, if the skin doesn't have a thin taskbar, you can force it to in the WB configuration window. Go to User Overrides and select small taskbar size from the dropdown list

As Knatzz already pointed out CopperDesk II, Transilvania, and Doublet are great dark skins that implement all the WB4 features. Other dark skins that haven't been updated for WB4 yet (but still skin XP) are: Unlighted, Nemesis, BorgXP

I don't have any stability problems with Trillian and WindowBlinds running on my computer (currently using PixOS trillian skin and PixOS WindowBlinds skin) The one and only thing I've noticed in the past is that if both are running, and then I unload WindowBlinds, then restart WindowBlinds, the Trillian skin's magic pink areas were visible. However, I haven't tried this in a long while.

Which program are you referring to? Objectbar and ObjectDock are two different programs. ObjectBar allows you to create various bars and menus on your desktop. ObjectDock displays a icons that zoom in and out as you move your mouse over them, similar to a Mac. If you're referring to objectdock, you can only have it display a single dock

I assume you're running WindowsXP. In which case, I suggest you start off slowly. Try just using WindowBlinds first. It'll skin all your windws as well as your start mentu and taskbar.(At least the relatively newer WindowBlinds skins will). Try this for awhile, with different skins until you feel comfortable with it. Then maybe try using IconPackager to change your icons and do the same At this point, you still have a standard Windows desktop, just that its skinned dif

all three programs do different things. WindowBlinds skins the desktop, replacing your standard windows elements (titlebars, scrollbars, buttons) with the ones contained in a windowblind skin. DesktopX allow you do all sorts of things to your desktop (from adding a simple animated object, to completely altering the appearance with custom taskbars, wharfs, activex controls and so on). Winstyles is sort of a master control program. It doens't skin anything directly. Inst

Someone else brought up the idea that the Neos on the monitors were previous incarnations of The One, but then it was pointed out that the camara goes through various monitors thereby becoming the current "scene". I think this is more of way of displaying all of Neo's possible emotional reactions and picking the one that he is chooses and currently displays, rather than the choices of other previous incarnations.

For the curious or uninitiated, here's the defintion of an internet troll: http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll and here's the definition of flaming http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming

Paul Williams, without derailing this thread, Asimo did not attack you for disageeing with her. You trolled here and intentially insulted people, and with complete disregard for the topic at hand, namely discussing the various plot points behind the movie. No one cares whether one person liked or disliked the movie. That's not the point of this thread. There is another thread for that. What is not acceptable are trolls and flames, which you have initiated. It's obvous

This site has very recognizable skins and walls. It's in Russian so I have no idea what it says. The main site is here: http://www.soladesign.net but has two subpages (that seem to share the same data but with different page layouts) that have well known skins and suites mostly by Treetog/Pixtudio, as well Dangeruss, Mercury, Mormegil and so on. I recognize the walls as well. You can find them on this page: http://www.soladesign.net/light/light_index.htm and on thi
