You know I had that problem and I used this program from stardock to help me find out where all the files where on my computer. I forgot what its called though... but it was very helpful in me finding the files and moving them back to the original places.

#3 by Admin Jafo - 9/2/2004 9:27:11 PM 1096 people are currently logged dang... that is allot of people at once. Anyway, back to the thread, I am starting to think that the WinCustomize that visitors see should be totally redesigned. Less libraries, less pages to the libraries shown and so forth. The only way to see a skin would be if y
Can't fine the file.... Must be on the 20 CD's of mine I have with stored files on it. I got to find that file! Anyway, more news on the 3D interaction front: Meet DavidLove Twin brother of RomanceLove. He was a journalist and got a chance to anchor the 12pm news on channel 88 but was then offered
anybody else??? I'm sending out a request for views on skinning and design from some of the authors mentioned here and others I have seen around the net. I am hoping that in 2 weeks it will be finished. its allot of stuff and a few pages long so I want to organize it so it is easy to read, helpful links, images (of course) and if i can, hopefully some skinners can get some contracts to make something... maybe. That was what I was going for many moons ago so I could report on the st

a password? on every one you downloaded? sound like somethings up with your system... unless there is some new security measure I don't know about.
could be the skin author... did you try another skin?
foobar200 h'uh?? Heard about it so I guess I will give it a try. anyway, back to wmp10: I will give it a look see, although I am sort of hesitant in downloading an update for it. I sort of like WinAMP. One question though, does it now except acc music files?
no its not just you juryguy. that is why I said it seems better to post here because more people are here in the general board. I actually think there should be two boards. one skinning and the general. 'help' can be merged into 'skinning' and 'skinning' can be more than just limited talk about tutorials but the skinning scene in general. hmmmm.... well that is what I think. if I want to talk about mostly anything I come to the general board, but if I go to the skinning board,
this thread is helpful... I am adding it to my winCusto favorites knowledgebase. I am getting smarter everyday coming here.
TSF is always watching... and waiting... I have to download this skin suite to see for myself. I was just waiting because... not sure why, the 40mb download made me lazy or something (I am on DSL and it would have only taken like 6 minutes) Oh, I am wondering something NightTrain, are you using SP2? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Pow

#7 by IPlural - 9/2/2004 11:44:23 AM you mean the pinned message icon depicting a sticky note isn't enough? Lets put it this way: If you read the warning on a iron, it says please do not iron clothes while wearing them. To be more 'clear': No its not enough. You get used to it though... but it would seem that more peo
ok.... I'm puzzled: Why would it be there in the Add/Remove programs area in the first place? Second, I didn't know it was an executable... Third, you wanted to remove it? <
yeah there was actually... but guess what? AOL owns WinAmp and Warner Brothers owns AOL. So the Brothers thought to say, "Hey! we also should skin our own player... HELLO!!!" That is what I think and I am sticking to that theory
I think they did that once with a Warner brothers skin or something... I can't remember... maybe it wasn't Warner bro... Was it the Hulk? They made a call and a contest too for people to make skins matching the theme... then again I think that was Pixtudio.
I can't help it... over here is more fun to post!
