True. It is a 2 way street. It is only nice. My goodness... so much drama..... in the end, it still has to be a 2 way street. I personally do not mind subsidizing non-customers. I really feel this is a good product and the more productive input the better. The more skins the better. Unlimited downloading for non-customers... well if the limit is 70 a month then so what. I do not think anyone will notice. I get more skins, Stardock gets more people, and the cycle goes on.

My goodness, what is a newbee to do after reading all of this stuff. I didn't know how all of this worked actually. I just came across the site one day and downloaded windowblinds trail. It was pretty lame but I couldn't stand the regular windows after I turned it off. So I bought it. Then I bought the Object manager. So I spent 65 dollars I quess. It was soooooo worth it. AND after reading this "thread" as it is called, I now see there is a method behind the madness called Wincustomize. The way
hmmmmmmm interesting... selling a whole siute? That was the first thing I thought of when I got this stuff. For those who are graphic designers/web designers digital artists and so on, this is just another way to express yourself. And since we all tend to be poor, sometimes we can sell our hard work (200 - 400 hours of work) for 8, 10, or even 15 dollars!!! I love giving some of this stuff away (most actually) but there is a market out there..... and it is growing.... so be prepared to see some

well I guess a progress bar would be nice. I think it is a nice idea as a whole. It should be part of the object desktop manager. So when I resubscribe, I can get this too.
I have 300 megabytes of downloaded stuffs.... sooooo I guess I should get a subscription. Now I just need some money. BTW I already have Object Desktop Manager, is it possible that I have it already?

I guess I am a new newbee. Started this year Febuary which means I do not know anything. I still can not do a windowblind skin and I have the program!!! I think I will comment more on the skins. It is my civic duty. As for "lame" skins, I do see allot of them and some actually do not work on some programs for some reason. One skin will and one skin won't. I hope to be a profesional skinner one day but until then you guys are going to have to deal with the "lame" newbee skins fo

Ummmmmmm.... I think there should be a booklet or something so one can learn from it. I personally like to play around and find out for myself but.... sometimes it just gets frustrating.... At least have a option of book or play. Not everybody learns the same way. In the mean time, look through Google for instructions. btw... that would be a nice theme..... mad buttons for windowblinds!! Version 1.0

Yes I agree that this site is very welcome to those who here of it. Now that there has been a design change I think it very well could be the best skin site around. If you want to change your desktop and have a pretty wide selection than here is the site. geeeeezzzzzzzzzzz, its that bad???? I wanted to do a Spider-Man theme (actually a series of 3 themes) but now I am not so sure. The wallpapers I'm using I got from deviantart so I was going to ask the guys who designed them if I could use those images (even though all of those images are on the web but it is the way they placed them that I wanted to use) and make a theme(s). If I get their permission, will it show up here on wincustomize?
What is going on with this program? It would seem that once it is turned on it creats problems with the screen. I get left over outlines of windows and toolboxes. The shadow sometimes stays behind. Is it because I'm using Windows 2000 Profesional? Everything else is fine. I have many plans for this program. Hopefully in a few years it will become a very big thing. Stock market big. I am hoping to forma business around skinning and programing and there really seams to be a market for it.
