Just installed the Purple Haze WB for a change of pace. I really like it a lot, though I did have to turn down the gamma so it wouldn't be quite so vivid. I have one question - is it possible to change the size of the font in the buttons. Currently anything over five letters long over runs the button and is not readable since the letters to the left and right of center aren't displayed. Example: if the button says "syncronization", the only thing that shows up is "roniz". Did I by some chance ei

I thoughts and prayers will be with you and your Dad.
Bichur, you are absolutely right and this is a laudable goal. Unfortunately, some of us don't have the talent. I for one can do all the coding necessary to make a skin, but I have zero talent when it comes to designing a skin. I just don't have that inate artistic talent that is required. I suppose that is why I hold all of the contributors here in such high esteem, for they can create something that I can only envy and appreciate. Fortunately, through this site, I am able to use and enjoy these
I believe there is only so much you can do concerning WindowBlinds. However, when adding Desktop themes to the mix, the variety available is incredible and extremely diverse. Couple that with WindowBlinds and you can get a desktop that is not only functional, but versatile and beautiful, and unique to the individual user.
I'm confused also. I use the entire OD suite on my laptop and have plenty of room left, and that's with XP and Office also loaded. Instead of complaining about StarDock, which allows one to install just what they want, why aren't you dumping that 20 gig taking up room and using it for something useful. If it was me, I'd be dumping that 20 gig to DVD and then reclaiming all that space. Course, that's just me, what do I know?
LOCC, you clearly have a conflict with WB and your video/GUI setup or hardware. The fact that it works on so many other systems points this out. My daughter easily runs WB on her ACER Centrino Duo without conflict. I suspect that because the Ferrari edition is cutting edge hardware that pushes the limits, that there is a video driver conflict. I would check with Acer and see if a newer video driver is available, and if not, if an older more stable driver can be obtained. Good Luck and please let
Does anyone else find it somewhat strange that a person who supposedly has 40+ websites can't figure out how to enter a url into FireFox or Internet Explorer, even when the url is clearly listed at the top of SDCentral's web browser?

Well lets see if we can put a little logic on some of these arguements and hopefully calm everyone down a little in the process: 1.) "It is painful to search the site. I just ran a test on my download speed and its running at 2456 kbps ... why is it taking at least a min. for a page to download? Half the time I have to refresh to even get the page to load." This is not a fact, it is an assertion or complaint because the author provides no documentation as to the complaint
Unfortunately, I have been guilty on both sides of the fence. I never criticize, but neither do I praise or say thank you. I am a little hesitant to praise because I am so much in awe of the abilities of the immense talent pool on this site. While I certainly know what I like, I have zero capability to create these masterpieces. So please allow me to give my heartfelt thanks to all the contributors. I suspect there are others like me who are somewhat i
Just upgraded to the beta of Object Desktop and I am perplexed by one small, albeit annoying problem. Prior to the upgrade, I had the task panel docked on the left side of the screen. When I moused to the edge, the task panel was always very smooth and fluid when extending or retracting. After the upgrade, it will retract smoothly, but the extending is very jerky. It doesn't tile or pixelate, it actually looks as if it is on rusty gears and jerks and j
