I upgarded to the new Dreamscapes & it works great! (V2 Dreamscapes one had a lot of problems with crashing on Vista x64). I have it set to rotate a folder of Christmas backgrounds every 5 minutes with the Snow effect overlay. <img id="myFxSearchImg" style="border: medium none; position: absolute; z-index: 2147483647; opacity: 0.6; display: none;" src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABgAAAAYCAYAAADgdz34AAADsElEQVR4nK2VTW9VVRSGn33OPgWpYLARbKWhQlCHTogoSkjEkQwclEQcNJEw

Thanks for all the input (I just watched Short Circut with my nephew, so Johny 5 saying input has been stuck in my head!) [e digicons]:P[/e] WB should really have kept the random wallpaper. I don't understand why that feature was removed. I will look into the Desktop Slideshow. I have Dreamscapes but when I reinstalled windows I never bothered to re-install it. Great tip on Windows 7, had no idea that is a feature. In another six months or so when the initial bugs are out I plan
Thank you for the referral but I have already tried google and got nothing. The closest I found was searching for "windowblinds 7 random wallpaper" but only to no avail. I find no mention of random wallpaper on stardock's website. I think that my wallpaper is on infinite random loop stuck in random from the old interface setting.
I have been looking through the forum and on google but I can't seem to find out any information of the random wallpaper feature being in WB7. I have been using the standard interface w/ random wallpaper changes every 1 hour. After my last update through Impulse, I no longer have the option of using the older interface and must use the new UI. The thing is, I do not see any way to randomize the wallpaper. I had WB set to use a folder with all halloween wallpapers. The odd thing
RickJP, Thanks for the name of your skin. When I click subscriber resources it shows "The latest free Subscriber skins ; Rockstar, Stardust & RIP 2007" but no mention of Halloween Premium Suite! I also always purchased WB since the beginnig so shouldn't I
Thanks 2of3. I actually meant RickJP's WB. I replied to his comment & thought that it would show that I was replying to his post. I did d/l Magnetek though. I like it. I'm using it right now LOL
What is the name of your WB skin & the creator? It's an amazing skin. I saw a video preview on filetube
I always wanted to learn Linux, but instead I'm using vista (customized a bit, killed some useless services, the usual)too many people use my computer so I wanted to keep it at something they're familiar with Right now I have my cable modem going straight to my PC via ethernet cable. I guess my first step would be to get a hardware firewall router even if i don't network off the router. Eventually when I get PS3 i'll be needing a router anyway & i'll be able to install Linux on it!!! <img sr
I stumbled acress a program today that I find to be pretty usefull, it's called EULAlyzer. The free version only runs as you call for it to which is what I prefer. Whenever you have to read an EULA, just run this program and drag the crosshairs to the text you want to analyze. It will highlight stuff that stands out such as talking about i
I am having the same problem, but it seems to only be affecting the taskbar I installed windowblinds last night, 2 days AFTER the windows update. Also even though I uncheck "show icon in system tray..." it still shows it. Only problems in windowblinds that I'm having all seems to be taskbar related
i have a legit windows blinds.... it should really have a button "check for update" in the system info section. I'm gonna d/l the newest build. I only just installed windows blinds couple weeks ago...probably right before the update! Thanks for the update Bichur
Hello someone31988. Sorry to have to say this but it would appear that either something else in messing with or controlling your wallpaper or the wllpaper changer is broke. My only other suggestion is that you contract Stardock support. We've not had other people join this thread, so either it's working or they don't use the function. Just because people did not join the thread doesn't mean that it works for them or they do not use the function
I see that my windows wallpaper(using vista) is in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds\ directory. Now when I manually change the wallpaper through WB it will stay the same file name but WB will change the contents to whatever wallpaper chosen. WHen automatic changing wallpaper is on it does not change the file. Right now am deleting that file in the wb directory and changing my windows wallpaper through the windows interface. I'm going to set WB to automatically change ever
Maybe it has something to do with the WB tray neding to be in the taskbar. I'll give that a go and post back
Keep in mind...that is only the FREE version of zone alarm, and Internet security suite...not ZoneAlarm PRO...which is the full version of JUST the fire wall. So everyone who has paid for it STILL does not have a working wista version yet. I tried the Free firewall for Vista but had a lot of problems. I'm arguing with zone alarm to give me the time I lost from when Vista first came out in January untill when a working copy is available. They took WAY to long to make this vista ready
I'm using windows vista and have WindowBlinds 5 (5.50 (build 102 x86 - Vista Edition)) I have the wallpaper changer set up to change every hour but it is not working. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks
I've used black vipers XP services page, and now I found a VISTA services page. I figured since VISTA runs so many services that I had to spread the word on an excellent page deciphering them all. BlackViper lists all the services, what they do, and what he considers to be a SAFE action for most users. He also lists what his system services are set to. http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/servicecfg.htm </
