TasT
^^Good Idea^^^ Maybe even a dropdown list with the subject lines...
With the power of DX is it finally possible to create a NeXT like "dock" that would function more like a cross between the windows start menu and the OSX dock? for example I would like to drag a folder from my start bar to the the dock and have it expand in next style blocks for say the first eight blocks then have a more button that would open a list. Also I would like to have Next style app running indicators for short cuts in the dock. look at the old Next style the
Didn't figure there would be many "urges" but, just thought I'd throw it out there!
I finaly updated the Slim_T Skins. I have been wanting to for quite a wile but haven''t had time. So I spent a few hours the last two days and got them all up to snuff. Now I think it''s miller time........ btw: if anyone feels the urge to do a toolbar set or shell animations please let me know. [Message Edited]
Definatly KewK-Hoe I usually use other peoples skins for a short time and then go back to a SlimT varient but, this one is awesome as a minimalist skin.
A quick google search game us with: iTunes-LAME Encoder 2.0.7 (Mac software) you have a Mac don't ya froggy? http://www.blacktree.com/apps/iTunes-LAME/index.php
I remeber those days before WB made 1.0. I was virtually unusable on win98. by the time that 1.3 arrived I was running a tech site (OWT). I downloaded WB just to review and it haven't had a computer without it since. I am probably an odd case in the ram department my win98 machine had 256mb and each system since has doubled that amount up to the current sys with about a gig of it. so the only problems I have ever had are the mem leaks in the win 9x series wich was an OS pro
"The problem is that since OO isn't an MSO clone, there is a learning curve...and it's a bit steep." This is the Problem. Think about retraining a workforce of say 1000 people to use OOo. The cost would be tremendous. If MSO can be ran on Linux it will make a transition to the OS easier for a company to do. Random thoughts: If MS has Office vX for Mac OSX how hard would it be to port it to Say KDE or Gnome? In the future there will be MS Office for the 'ni
There are many fixes and new features in the .5 release and it is plenty stable to use as your main email client. Be aware there is no installer you have to unzip the file to a directory and then run thunderbird.EXE.
Using it right now and it seems to be great!
So what is the Lizards name already?
WC and Stardock Have been honest and helpfull since I signed up for Object Desktop not long after it was introduced. I would suggest Stardock especially if your a newbie just order Object Desktop, point your browser towards wincustomize and your news reader to news.stardock.com for support and your set up with the best customization suite avaliable!
The ford contour was Fugly, but the Yugo takes the cake as the worst production car of all time.. My math teacher in high school test drove a new one and the window crank fell off!
As long as 9x and 2000 are supported people will not bother to upgrade, even though XP has proven to be be the most signifigant and worth while upgrade since 3.1. The other problem is that many people purchased $300-$500 PC with win 9x and simply can't afford to use the full versions of SD apps or to upgrade their system or OS. I would have no problem with you dropping the 9x Icons though. I use your older FauxS-X Icons on 200 anyhow...
^^^ What Leo said Stardock set the message boards up and we liked and appreciated them. Features were added here and there and we liked then and swear we will eventually get used to them. I remember once when T-man removed the right hand stuff from the page and made the message board text boxes expand to fill the browser. Just that simple change had me mad for weeks!! BTW thanks for putting my right hand stuff back T-Man! <img src="http://images.stardock.co
TasT was actually the first initial of my name, my wifes first initial, my brother's first initail, then the initial of our last name. TasT Systems was the DBA of a business that my brother and I ran untill he had to take a business move to Canada, we then sold the assets of the Business but the Nick has stuck with me since 97. As for the capitolization of the last letter, my brother did that on the first run of Biz cards and it stuck also.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to the entire staff of WinCusto and Stardock!
UMMMMM....... Merry Christmas to Jafo and everyone else! BTW how could I not Love the guy who corekts all my Spelin errors!
Nightprowler: I believe that this would be "premium" Skins IE ones made by either stardock or one of the For profit skinning outfits. NOT to download skins from Wincusto. Although if stardock releases 200+ individual pieces I wonder how that would effect the "for free" skinners? Would more of them turn to for profit and contract with stardock? To maintain the community there has to be more free than pay skins. I hate to see the community turn to all for profit.
Sup Guys: I finally broke down and purchased a subscription. I was wondering though do all the perks work for subscribers who use a web browser instead of the WC browser?. I have a High Speed Connection and I much prefer using the web browser. But I definatly would like to use the # Coming in 2004: A personal gallery blog page. # Coming in 2004: Prioritized bandwidth access for subscribers (faster performance). Just curious. I would use WC browser but I prefer to look a
THat was Freakin' Awesome! Thanks!
/me agrees with Jafo the first one I ever did.. For current day stuff it would be SEER By: Essorant
Also isn't there a way to use a web browser to get to the goods if you have your reg # and email address? I seem to remember getting some proggies that way when CM was on the fritz..
You my friend have not even began to see stardock support. Once you get your little problem straightened out look through the support news groups @ news.stardock.com These guys will normally bend over backwards and do some contortionists stunts to help a customer who is courteous and goes to the right place to get support.
