Has anyone had trouble with WB5 working after installing Acronis True Image Workstation 9.1? I just bought it and loaded it but it wouldn't let me skin anything it kept defaulting to Windows XP style theme. I did a system restore to a day earlier and all is okay...guess I'm returning Acronis.

Sounds more like a Video Card/Driver issue? Try updating your drivers or make sure you have a 256k Graphics Card.
Sounds great. I too would love more "how to" tutorials along with step by step instruction on creating something to fruition. I'm great with computer and only so so with creating graphics so any help in that area would definitely be a plus!
Wow, Easy CD-DA Extractor is a hefty $40 and it doesn't do MP3pro...hmmm. I'm so sad...
Thanks Citizen Brian, any others out there? I'll try this one too.
I would love to see Google offer a Media Player that's not overbloated like MusicMatch and offer all ripping formats including WAV & MP3pro. MusicMatch sometimes works well but mostly crashes and Windows Media Player 10 doesn't offer WAV ripping for backing up my CD collection, although Version 11 does support WAV it crashes about every third rip. Jet Audio offers WAV ripping for free but it does not create folders and sub folders like WMP10 & MMJB doe
Well I got DestopX 3.2 installed and it is very unstable. Now it won't launch anything nor will it start up at Windows Boot even though I checked that to happen. I uninstalled including all Gadgets etc. and reloaded but it still will not work. I guess I'll wait for v4 which might fix this?
Ha Ha Ha...good one Zoomba, you are right, they need to concentrate on better quality tunes to listen to.
I don't see consumers buying into this type of format. I'm pretty happy with the way things are now. I think they should spend more time on Audio & Video Codecs that are better than even MP3pro is. A smaller footprint would be the best way to go so maybe more songs on a CD can be accomplished other than the standard WMA now. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/w
I would like to see a better interface especially for previewing CursorXP like you have done with WB5 interface.
Tried to buy but didn't get the discount as an ODNT subscriber so I decided not to buy at the moment.
Yeah, how do you upgrade from SDC?
Well for the average "Joe" it will be confusing but being familiar with Windows versions and the nice upgrade matrix makes it easier for us "Not so average Joe" to decide what path to take. I am looking forward to the upgrade made for Media Center and will definately go that route for my livingroom but Home Premium for my office PC.
As an MCSE, I can tell you there most certainly are ways to secure data and transmissions, but it's a matter of hiring the pros to implement them. These standards are not in place simply because of cost. There's no excuse for this. I am also a Veteran and I am outraged at the possibility that my identity may have been compromised because the officials just wouldn't hire the right people to safeguard our most valuable data. It just really pisses me off!
Wow...I almost bought a Dell recently and instead I bought a Toshiba with a Centrino Duo in it. Glad I didn't buy a Dell now.
SPAM Art...I'm not surprised at this one! LOL
This is a piece of S#@t...I loaded it and nothing shows in the taskbar but it does chime on the hour...big deal! Oh, and everytime I bootup it reminds me that I owe them $20 bucks so I will be uninstalling this one...
Much more snappy!
Wow, this all sounds pretty great. Do I understand you right about the servers...are you putting on-line "redundant" servers for load balancing? If so, that will solve your problems tremendously! I think also that if you are not an OD subscriber that you get ads to help support the site. If you are an OD subscriber then you shouldn't have the ads. I also think that there should be more premium skins available when WC2K7 launches. I wouldn't mind paying
If using Active Directory then there needs to be a cleanup of "Garbage" data. Usually this is done by default every 12 hours of objects that are tombstoned, then defragged. You can set the tombstone process interval by editing the ADSI. This may be something that will help you out?
It is faster but the personal side of things are also important. Maybe the previews of skins could be tweaked to a lower resolution to help the speed issues?
As an MCSE I think having customization inherent in the OS is a bad idea, however I do support the use of Plus! options that can be purchased separately. If customization was included as part of the OS then all the third party programmers would have no choice but to go elsewhere for a living, thus halting creative ideas for users to enjoy. I have always disliked the standard Microsoft look. In a business environment though sometimes if the third party
Wow Brad, this is interesting. I think I may have to wait until the first service pack comes out for Vista before considering to move over to it. I was hoping to get my hands on the Media Center version for my Livingroom PC, but I think I'll keep Media Center 2005 for now.
Oh that's what you have all been up to...I was wondering why it has been so quiet!
Hmmm... www.ntius.com has ShadowCopy v3 for $9.99
