Wow MobiusCo, 10k - 20k hits a day? that's great... congratulations dude. My site is self-funded as well by the way... there really isn't anything to do apart from pay the domain fees really, as I have managed to place it on my ISP's free webspace which is 'unlimited' (very handy)

Hmmm... I normally get about 350 - 500 hits a day, but it varies, not bad I guess for a personal site. Mind you, it has been around for nearly 2 years now... also traffic has been steadily increasing in the last couple of months. Every time I release something new on the front page, the hits go up quite a bit, and then slowly fall again until my next release. I just checked out on of the Top 10 icon packages: http://scripts.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=2&SkinID=698 'Patchwork' and it apears to be a collection of other artists icons. I found one of Scrow's icons in there, along with some Copland, and A LOT of them are DigitalGarage.net's Glass icons http://www.digitalgarage.net/downloads/_glassicons.zip The user may have got permission, but I doubt it, and he hasn't stated so anywhere... so I reckon it's a ripped package from a

That is true Frogboy, however it could be done so that you wouldn't be able to download directly from the Portal. The user would have to visit the skin's page and download from there, hence bringing in the user to browse the rest of the site etc... I just had an idea, Do any of the current skin sites have public 'backend' files either in PHP or ASP that we can access? I know Deskmod used to have one, and I thought DeviantART did as well, but I can't find it anymore... What about winCustomize and the others? As AJCrowley mentioned you can't get animated BMP's, you need to put a series of them together to form the animation... However, this program: http://www.dezina.com/bitstrip/ will allow you to convert an animated .gif to a series of BMP's.

I think he might be complaining that his work is 'disapearing' after a couple of days on the site... This is of course due to people RATING it low and it not appearing and being hidden for most users, including himself, so he thinks the admins are deleting it in some way. MADMETZI: Your work is not being deleted my friend, it is being 'filtered' for quality... by the users, that's all.
