Although I don't work for Stardock here is my understanding. If you bought GalCiv directly from Stardock and wanted to upgrade to the Drengin package then the price might be less than buying the full Drengin package. This is similar to what they do for there Object Desktop product. I am not sure whether it would apply if you bought GalCiv direct from a retailer. ~SDC~

If you buy the game through Stardock you can download the game and optionally for shipping charges get the game on CD. The manuals that I have seen are currently in html format which can be printed. Once you have played a few games you will not need the manuals. ~SDC~

Here goes. Taxes slider - fairly simple its just the tax rate. Spend Rate - this represents the utilization of you production but costs money Ideally you want the spend rate at 100% but you will not have enough money most of the game. Brad has said the following quote Let me take this moment to lower expectations: * GalCiv is single player only. There will not be a multiplayer "patch". * There is no ship design. There won't be a ship design patch. * There is no tactical combat in the sense MOO has it. endquote Here is where he said it. http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=04e9ea8ff5f40268987b3e7bf6922976&threadid=79934 ~SDC~

With any requested change I would suggest running it through this type of filter. What would it add to the game play and how would you implement it. You will need money when dealing with the other races. Money is really measuring you excess capacity you are saving up. If money is not used it would need to be some other number. Its an interesting idea I am just not sure what it add to the game and even more importantly how you could implement it. <br
