Romance of the three kingdoms series. Birth of the Federation ( though bugged after turn 120) Rome Total War Medeval Total War Stronghold Series Axis and Allies ( not the new rts but old version) Imperialism 1&2 Xcom Series Imperium Galactica 2 ( liked the ground war) Civilization 2,test of time, and 3 was ok though buggy. 1602 A.D. MOO2 few more i liked Im new to GC so im still learning this game. Though i like it much lack of ground/plan

Dont mean to jump in here, but i have a question also. Since it is about trade routes ill post here so i dont have to make another post. The amount of trade routes you can have, say 3 for example. Is that 3 per planet or 3 total per civ? Say i have 8 planets, can i have 8*3= 24 routes, or just 3 all together? Thanks Yes im new also :) [Message Edited]

Oh and to clear things up, it hasnt crashed in the other 3 games ive played. Just when i try the alternate rules and go to menu. Hasnt crashed any other time and has run very smoothly. I am impressed with the game play thus far. Just hope i can play these alternate rules- they look like fun.

Alternate rules = crash? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Not sure if this is where i post this. But here goes. I just started to play GC, and i wanted to try some alternate rules ( evil earth, altarian alliance, the one where earth stands alone sounds fun). But each time i try this and go into the menu the game crashes. I cant save or change settings. Is there a fix for this? I did search saw nothing. Ill try another search here rewording it. I do have updated game for GC and AP. Thanks in advance. Kronos

BoTF was a great game for its time. Though after turn 150-200 it became really laggy. And ruined many great games. But i like the battles and it was easy to jump in and play. I just bought GCD, and only played 2 small games thus far and i have enjoyed myself. Though if it had battles like BoTF i would be in heaven :) BoTF,Imperium Galactica 2,MOO2, Star Wars Rebellion are my favorite space strategy games. And GC is just about on that list once i play with it a little more.
