Under Galciv 2 in stardock central, there should be three serperate ticks, the Game, the Multimedia, and the Tutorials. You need to get all three of these. right click on each and click update.

You guys need to download the multimedia pack. And this isnt a bug. You need the multimedia files for the sound, music, etc. If you don't d/l it, the game with run, but without any sound or music.

I preordered around march (or whenever pre-orders were just announced) and have been playing the beta ever since. I havent gotten an e-mail with my retail serial # yet, even though all beta testers are supposed to be proccessed already. Also, in startdock central, if I try and update the game, it says i'm not registered for it. Should I be concerned?

Don't hold your breath...These guys rarley ever deliver when they say they will. I'm sure GalCiv2 will be a great game...but stardocks abiltiy to meet the dates they set...not so good.

The beta is one day away, and I have no idea now they plan to release it to those who have pre-ordered it. Do I need to get stardock central? Will they e-mail me? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, John

Just curious if GCII is planning on having a full-blown tutorial this time around. (Not just 5 little text-pop-ups) I think this would make it much more approachable for the average gamer, as well as provide a good baseline for us GC fans Anyway, just a thought.

I only have the option to attack...they have both attack and make peace. I don't get it! Where can I see what i've researched so far? I may be able to tell you exactly has been researched. Update: Found my archives. I have researched alliances, which clearly states I can have allies...I have also researched Diplomacy, advanced diplomacy, Universal translator, trade, and others. I just don't get it. [Message Edited]

I want to make peace with another race, and have researched diplomacy, treaties, etc...but I still don't have the option when I speak with them...any ideas?
