[BUG] Mouseclicking does not work in windowed mode in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I finally decided to try running the game in a window. Upon restarting the game, while I can click to skip past the Stardock logo splash screen, once it hits the main menu I can't click on anything, as though the click button doesn't work. I can still move the window around and clicking works fine on other programs. Is there a fix for it, or at least some kind of config file or command flag I can pass to the exe when it's starting to reenabl

ory first, etc. If so it just sounds like annoying hassle to me. Strategic resource requirements to build specific improvements or ships is good, anything more than that will just bog the player down in micromanagement.
