I know your pain stard1ck. I couldn't get it to work either but over time by carefully following the directions in this forum I got the correct configuration and now like Tandis says it is "rock solid" on this machine. It's only $14.95. There is software that costs 6 or 7 times as much that doesn't always work right. I know that fooling around with skinning software can be a crap shoot but that's part of the fun to see what will happen. <img src="http

Macs are like Porsche's and Ferrari's while PC's are like Chevy's. Ya can get a Chevy for 10 Grand or you can buy a Vette, they are both Chevy's. Ya can't buy a new Porsche for 10 G's. Don't bring up the mini Mac cause by the time ya bring it up to snuff ya gotta over a grand into it. I bought this PC for $450, spent another $60 on an extra stick of RAM = I'm happy. No, it is not the best but so far I'm running everything I want from Stardock with NO P
That's what I love about coming here. I heard about the security problems in Firefox, then the next day I see this post! Thanks. The update installed perfectly. Practice Safe Surfing!
Hell Yeah!
WrecklessEric: That is so strange because I started this topic last night after 4 days of changing skins and icons everyday. Been having a bad week. I figured I needed some stability in my life so StealthOS (alpha) is what I picked. I too keep going back to it. I'd say it is darn near perfect.
If you had to pick one skin to use for the next month which one would it be? Impossible task? Let's say that you had 10 min. to decide. Which one would you pick?
Perhaps I am missing your point dwire but when I acess add/remove programs using control panel there is no problem at all. I see everything perfectly.
To anyone who has had problems with IP3: Follow the advice of others in the forums. Get the latest build from SDC. It works. I bought it at the end of June and had a lot of problems with it. I sat on it all this time. Last night I decided to try again. It works and it is a great product. I followed the instructions in the forums. Too bad the original release didn't work out of the box. As I said in another post some problems aren't easily resolved. Thi
Boss Playas Box - because I can.
When I have had problems they have helped. You have to be patient. Not all problems can be easily resolved.
Hey Hey - GREAT POST. I've used Opera in the past - FREE VERSION - but I couldn't put up with the ads. If I had more money I'd have bought it (Couldn't spend money on Stardock stuff)(No, I'm not kissing Butt - I'm still waiting for a hassle free Icon Packager) I digress - Opera is a great browser! I'm not gonna set it up as my default quite yet. Firefox is my default. We'll see.... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 A
Thanks Corky O. Stardock is found! The trick was Local Settings. All is well.
I thought I'd clear/clean the cache out - keep widgets running good. When I got to the Applications Data Folder I was suprised to see that Stardock wasn't listed! I was sure to check on Show All Files from control panel. I've done this before. I looked at the Clearing the cache article to refresh my mind. Why wouldn't Stardock show up in App Data???? Preplexing to me. <
Gimmie da trees!! Not only do they look good but are good for the air. If you place them properly they provide much needed shade and lower the temp in the house on hot days. Another thing that bothers me about these developments is how they put the garage in the front of the house. That is just plain ugly to me. I too grew up in a neighborhood with trees and alleys and CHARACTER! One more thing, around here, the new developments have really stupid name
2.80 GHz. So far my 512 megs of RAM have been more than enough. I didn't know that about Celeron's. Thanks for the info. Now, I can't wait for 5!!!
The calendar is Konfabulator.
I am running a Celeron machine with 512 MB of ram. 4.6 runs perfectly. Am I to understand that 5 will have a problem running on this machine?
Audioslave - Show Me How To Live And with the early dawn Moving right along I couldn't buy an eyeful of sleep And in the aching night under satellites I was not received Built with stolen parts A telephone in my heart Someone get me a priest To put my mind to bed This ringing in my head Is this a cure or is this a disease Nail in my hand From my creator You gave me life<
See #22. I think that should settle this.
If you go to the support page you can find where they email you the links to all that you have purchased with the serial numbers you need when you install. You'll need Stardock Central for the betas . This method has worked for me.
All the skins I had were still there after the install, no problems. I haven't had one problem so far.
Let's try it this way. Link
August is hot.
I DL from link they sent me. Now some skins have glowing parts! So far no problems. They even prompt you to unload WB first! LUV IT!!!!
This is DA BOMB!!
