I understand if you can't say but I couldn't resist asking.[/quote] I think they have announced custom factions, certainly the fan base has been talking a lot about it.

Another point about overclocking, I have learned that at least some CPU manufacturers (one in particular, Intel) have also put into their circuitry protection against overheating. It reduces clock speed if a certain temperature is reached, usually about 80% of TjMax.

Many people talk about overclocking their CPUs, but when I watch the monitor for mine, I see the clock speed changing constantly. I don't know what causes this, but the temperature is not the reason, as it is staying below 30 Deg. C.

Another question is as far as the factions goes are the tech trees more equal like for instance a more equal number of wonders per faction, if a faction has diffe

In checking the Valve website it looks like StarDock obtains the Steam keys from Valve that they will provide us, and they get those keys at no cost. The web site also says that Valve gets revenue solely from sales from their (Valve's) store. My new revised guess and understanding is that this is to encourage game development, hence increasing the potential for sales from their store, which I guess is what all of you have been trying to tell me.

When I sorted the list of stars in the file I listed in reply 11 I discovered that there are masses of duplicate star names in it. Obviously, this does not cause a problem in the execution of GC2, but I wonder if the community would be better served if the list was alphabetized and duplicates removed in GC3?
