Hi Lilbuddy, I moved the thread to Multiplayer Mania since it's more related to this forum. If you want to start another thread about your MMOG idea in the Developers forum, that's fine. Also, I deleted your email address since posting it online is not a good i

Hi mrtee, Are you running WindowBlinds? If so, try adding the various .exe files to your WindowBlinds exclusion list to see if that fixes the problems. We reproduced the bug with Disciples yesterday and WB was the culprit (future versions of WB will automatically exclude those .exe files).

Software developer Stardock Entertainment announces the release of the real-time simulation game “Uplink: Hacker Elite” for the PC, now available at www.totalgaming.net . One of the most alluring elements of the Internet is that of the hacker. They’re the elite programmers working in the dark reaches of cyberspace, going where nobody was meant to. Through Introversion Software’s Uplink: Ha

Okay, we've tracked this down to a WindowBlinds conflict. If you add the various Disciples II .exe files to the exclusion list in WB, that should fix things up. We're also going to be making them an automatic exclusion in the next WB update.

Hi guys, Nothing's been changed code-wise, so I'm not sure why you were able to download the game again, we'll have to check on that. All the patches available for Disciples have already been applied to the install. Project003 - What error are you getting? Did you install the all the various pieces in SDC or just the base install?</

No, not really. Cheat codes are part of a game, so they aren't mods. You could probably make the case the trainers are mods, but they don't really fit the standard definition. Adding a new faction to Dawn of War would be a mod for that game, or changing the graphics in Civilization III., etc. So would total conversion mods (making new games out of existin

I would agree with the method of letting her pass on. I guess doctors have said it won't be painful for her, but geez. I'd think a morphine overdose would be more pleasant, but it's sort of a double standard here: The state is willing to let her die, but isn't willing to aid in her death except by inaction (not feeding her). Is it just me or is there so

Sorry gang, this is something I'm working on now. They'll be a shortcut in the Start menu to the Uplink manual created when you install the game in the future (and a note about where to find the keys in SDC).

I would say that now is probably the best time to get TotalGaming - if you're interested in the games currently available on it. That way you'll get all the current games now and forever, plus get 10 silver tokens to spend when Phase 2 starts up, plus the GalCiv 2 beta.

Seriously, do I have to start going around and hitting people with virtual bats to get a response here? C'mon people! This thread is ripe for discussion, flames, heated debates, something. I know you're out there. Well, I'll get things going again. IMO, Congress stepped over the line on this one. This was clearly a state matter and the current adm

It was the talk of morning television this past Sunday - the U.S. Congress holding a special session to intervene in the case of Terri Schiavo, the woman who's been in a vegetative state for 15 years. For those who haven't been following the case, basically her husband wants to take her off her feeding tube/water so that she'll pass away. He says this is what his wife told him she wanted if something like this ever happened to her. Terri's parents don'

So, what do you do over there anyway, or are you not allowed to tell? h34r: [i miss the ninja smiley] All sorts of stuff really. Working on TotalGaming is my primary gig, but I also oversee all of the Stardock sites for problems, give feedback on GalCiv 2's progress, do some marketing stuff, etc. I'm k

Ask and you shall receive. Demos have been added for most of the games currently available via TotalGaming.net. You can jump to their downloads either via SDC or (more directly) via their pages here on the TG.net site. Edit - Oh, as for evil DRM stuff. Not going

Very nice. I had a A64 3200+ here for a few weeks, but handed it over for testing on other apps that are being worked on. Can't say I'm sorry either, it was loud - the case had a huge fan right in the front.

Sorry guys, first-come, first-served with the nicks. The logins are universal to all of Stardock's many sites, which have a lot of users. No console forums since this is a PC-centric site. However, feel free to post console topics here in the Open Talk forum. <img src="http://images.stardockcentral.net/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a
