Facelessclock, again I will admit my error… the temperature in my mind’s-eye is definitely off. But will stand by the fact that Intel‘s stock coolers do not cool the CPU as effectively as a aftermarket cooler and as a gamer I would not use a stock cooler. Yes every thing is supported by that motherboard... always check the motherboards HSL (hardware support list) to verify that the hardware is compatible (I checked and it all looked good). OCZ has a great customer service policy, so if the are any issues, they will be very helpful and you will like the case... lots of room. When it come to DVD burners, find the cheapest you can the onlty difference is burn speeds... What are you going to do abbout CPU cooling...

the pci-x ports on that board are actaully the 2.0 anyways... so the answer is yes... good match... you don't want just plain pci-x16 port with a pci-x16 2.0 card, because then you will have a bottle neck on the board and you don't want a plain pci-x16 card with a pci-x16 2.0 slot because then the card is under performance possible (though it allows the room for upgrade to 2.0 later on but why wait).

Nice choices but I would at least get a bigger hard drive, the cost per gig get cheaper and cheaper as you get bigger, I say at least 500GB but aim for 1TB. FYI I ran Prime95 for nearly 10 minutes and under a full load my CPU never reached 70°C (158°F) and at idle I sit with anywhere between 30°C and 32°C (86°F and 89.6°F) and during normal use I average 40°C (104°F)

Stock cpu heatsinks and fans do ok, but really... I will always suggest buying an after market cpu coooler. But yes the CPU is running hot . What size of fan do you have on the cooler... the speed of the fan looks fine for a 120mm, but if you have one smaller than that its running slow. At the bottom you see where the voltage is... the +12V should be reading around +/-12V, half the amount doesn't seem right to me... you might want to have someone check th

What type of case do you use right now and another really important thing... what power supply do you have running. Inadequate power can really be a detriment to a smooth running PC and definitly ruin your electronics (ie: cpu, memory, video card, motherboard et. al.) I wouldn't worry about changing your motherboard unless you plan on some major hardware upgrading for the future. The motherboard is still a strong board.
