regarding your Windows Experience Rating, if your processor is 5.0 then definitly do an upgrade on that first if you looking for as hardware solution. You have good hardware...and i will stand firm on that a software solution should be your first option before spending money on new hardware... unless you want to upgrade hardware, then by all means go for it. Although, this is what i would do; I would first suggest a clean reinstall of the OS and a thorough upgrade
You cannot update a 32 bit Vista install to a 64 bit Windows 7. You can only update 32 bit Vista to Windows 7 32 bit, and same for 64 bit. Now, license-wise you should be allowed to, but it's not technically possible, so you'd probably have to install Vista 64 bit first (your 32 bit version key should still work for 64 bit) and then update, but that's quite a hassle and most people will lose some data in this process because they don't know how to backup properly. I wonder how MS will

I tell you what.. I have been using XFX graphcis cards lately and i must say that I am dissappointed. I have the 8800 GT Alpha Dog edition which is the super-overclocked edition and it performs better than my XFX GTX 260 Black edition which is an over clocked edition as well and i have had issues with both cards... I suggest running a banchmark with wither PCmark or 3Dmark and post your score here is you can.

Your hardware seems fine... you may have software issues. Have you tried a clean reinstall of the OS. You have a good motherboard, so don’t change that… you could do a processor upgrade if you want and you can increase your RAM up to 32GB’s on that board. In fact check your RAM the board says you can use DDR 2-800 which is PC2-6400 and your stating you use pc2-8500 which is ddr2-1066. Make sure there are no incompatibilities with your boa
Is it USUALLY NORMAL, that, in a DUAL-Monitor-Configuration the Dream appears the SAME on each Monitor???
no actually it should only show on the primary monitor. Does it show on both?? If it does... very interesting.. for I have not been able to see mine on the secondary monitors. open msconfig and disable and on the services tab check hide microsoft service and disable the rest... then go to the start up tab and disable all the start up items and then renable one at a time and reboot until you find the issue. this was suggested to me about the NVIDIA display driver service.
I don't know about that. Mac forces you to create and use a user account and not run as root or admin so a virus would have a heck of a time executing it's code if it has to attack 2 or more levels of a user account...
Vista does the same thing has this feature as well... true that XP does not. And for this conversation I'm going to change PC to Windows... In november of last of last year MAC's are only +/-9.63% of the market share, which says that
I was a PC guy for many many years. I knew how to tweak every aspect of Windows, but I gotta say, since I bought my Mac, life has been a lot simpler.
If we all became Macs we would end up with the same issues PC has... the reason why PC has these issues because more people are PC's than MAC... turn it around and MAC will be in PC's shoes
Strange, neither picture takes into account the power supply fan. I've never seen a power supply without a fan and it would be sucking the air below the power supply out the back also.
Thats true and i should have mentioned that in my reply... I forget because my power supply is mounted on the bottom and seperated by a wall and has its own air flow. So, yes i should have made the part of the equation... Here is my sugges

I think that second pic with the Thermalright 120 is not good because you have warm air being circulated back into the front of the case and being recirculated through the CPU cooler. Remeber the power supply is generating heat as well... you need the cooler to direct that hot air right out the back of the case and the second pic allows for recirculation of warm air.</span

I had the same issue, but I cannot remember what I did to fix it. Try searching the Ubuntu Forums , I think thats where I found the fix for this. If I find it i will post it here for you but you might want to yourself because I'm in the middle of taking my finals. But If i remember you have to have the boot loader moved to the boot drive... (usually where ever C is located)... The
