Yeah, #2 is very possible with Mozilla, and it's even highly customizable. If you put %s in the URL that you've given a custom keyword to, it will replace that with whatever you type after the keyword. So, for example, I made a "dict" keyword with a %s in the URL, so now whenever i want the definition of a word, i just type "dict word" in the location field and hit enter, and it does the rest for me.

Actually... there was a WB Lite back in the day. It was called WBLiteFX, I believe. That was back before Neil joined up with Stardock. But it's really unimportant, as it's extremely outdated and therefore pretty much useless. If anyone still even has a copy.
On-The-Fly skin changing support was removed because of some crash bugs. It will be re-enabled when all of the crashing is resolved. As for tabs, I prefer the ability to have multiple windows each with tabs to related sites/links, as do a number of other people. But "Get New Themes" does not open in a new browser window for me, it opens in the current tab. As far as I know, there's no way to install Mail/News after installing Mozilla, so it has to be in the installer.
there is no simple "which is better" for gecko vs. IE. gecko is more standards compliant, but sites are more often developed for ie because gecko is newer and there are less people using it. 90+% of sites out there will render acceptably on both. gecko is faster on some sites, ie is faster on others. in my experience, gecko is less freeze/crashprone than IE is, but I know people who say ie never crashes on them. so it's mostly a matter of preference. Woodbridge, which Mozilla theme are you using? It works fine with Modern and a few others, but it doesn't work with Classic or KZilla or a few others that I've tried. Or, at least, the last few RCs didn't. I haven't actually tried 3.4 itself since they didn't say it was fixed in the release notes... maybe I should try it.
I'm stuck with 3.31 until the Mozilla issue gets fixed.

Hmm... that's completely different than the people I talk to. I use AIM exclusively as do most of my friends, although a few of them have either ICQ or MSN as well. I don't think I know anyone that uses Yahoo.
mdbarriault, how would incorporating them into the shell help at all? The shell would simply use that many extra resources then instead of the other programs using them. It's not like integrating it into the OS magically makes you able to do whatever you want without using any memory or resources... Also, resources are not memory, and the amount of resources you have does not increase with the amount of memory you have. Resources are limited to 128k, whether you have 16 megs of memory or 512
Sypher, try http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS in Mozilla, then try it in IE. You're going to tell me that the official CSS page is fubar and the w3c developers are drunken? The only reason IE displays most pages properly is because most designers design them specifically for IE. IE's standard compliance has improved a lot since 5.0, but it is still not as good as Mozilla's. It's not even as good as Opera's (although IE's DOM compliance blows Opera out of the water...)
You guys should really make the site work with Mozilla. I shouldn''t have to switch my browser to view your site, and the one time I took the trouble to fake my user-agent it looked almost perfect anyway. The only big problem was the marquee at the bottom.

Well, considering the fact that AOL is switching to Mozilla, I'd say it has a chance, although I'm not sure how good of one. I'll be using it for sure though, I already have been for nearly a year. In addition to what has already been mentioned, I really like the bookmark keywords feature with %s. and the new HTTP pipelining feature is really nice too. IE5 is not compatible with W3C standards, but IE6 is pretty close, so most pages designed for IE6 should work perfectly in Moz, but IE5 pages
