Rincewind57 , I like that idea. I'd play it! I used to do similar things with Age of Empires, Command and Conquer, or even Civilization in which one player (AI) or civilization was much more powerful then everyone else and we'd team up on him. It was also fun in multiplayer. In AoE me and some friends got stomped by a highest level di

If you read Lord_Agamemnon 's thread (https://forums.elementalgame.com/391142) then Porcupine is not the best pick, number wise. You'd be better off with Markin or Irane because they are, overall, higher value. That being said, I don't really care much. I'm going to play as James Fox, a custom sovereign who is a skilled city admin

Not too many decent starship (or ship) simulators these days. However, I've always been a fan of the Space Rangers series, check out Space Rangers: Reboot on Impulse if you want a really good turn based space RPG game. I wish they'd make a sequel... :(

Who is Tom Chick, what is Fidget, and what version of the game was he reviewing? Also, it REALLY looks like his math was wrong there. HOWEVER, I do agree that, based off the BETA version of the game, they really need to go through and edit their text and descriptions with a fine tooth comb. But, as everyone has said, that placeholder material before the Random House guys put in all their stuff. We'll know the truth tomorrow.

I honestly don't believe that the game would get that many more sales if they suddenly included tactical battles. I just can't picture it... Anyways, Brad has stated on multiple occasions (see above) that they're planning on implementing it later... just can't be done at launch.
You can't be serious. With the much touted focus of this game being singleplayer, I would expect nothing less than perfect balance from something as core to the game as sovereign selection and creation. Since multiplayer is taking a backseat in favor of singleplayer, Stardock has greater flexibility in achieving this. I hope Stardock does not take your approach and justify an imbalanced singleplayer experience with "Yeah

Jagged Alliance 2 was such an amazing game . I must admit that I'm a bit worried because I've never heard of bitComposer Games before now... that usually means a poor product. There are a few screenshots which look pretty good, however, I do with they keep the old tactical UI system so its familiar to us vets. While waiting for Jagged Alliance 2 Reloaded I recommend everyone try the JA2 1.113 Mod . It rea

I'm willing to bet that this doesn't change. That's not even the most major issue. You realize that you can modify any sovereign's file and basically make them invincible. When playing multiplayer we'll just have to be careful who we play with. If you notice your opponent has a lot of abilities and high stats, then don't play with them. That being said, I've buffed my custom sovereign a little so he can compete with the NPC leaders (who also start married and quickly have children... unfair).

A couple questions: I'm assuming because you have three accounts it is free? Also, what does " 1. HoMM Online is operated in Asia only." mean? What sort of heroes or characters do you get? And how in depth is character customization? I might have to try this.
I had plans to expand diplomacy, re-balance units, re-work the basic unit stats (str, int, con, etc), change how economies worked, add a paper-doll inventory / equipment system similar to Diablo 3 and (if possible) create a "treachery" mod allowing heroes, wives and dynasty children to betray their sovereigns if poorly treated.
That does sound fascinating! Find some freetime, I can't wait to see what you do. :P

Let this be the hour that some men stand above others in defense of their Kingdom and in defense of our homeland we shall rally against the Empire's threat and defeat their armies. The history of the old shall not be repeated, we shall be triumphant!

I plan on modding. I'll mostly do little tweaking mods, adding heroes (I want to do a community hero pack upon release), changing unit training (training packages), and add more/improved traits & professions (already started). Can't wait for release, been holding off more major modding so I don't have to change too much.

Lucky people make me jealous. EDIT : I just went into my Impulse launcher and there is an update available for Elemental, however, when I click update it says my serial is invalid. NOOO! I think they might be prepping for an early release or pre-load, maybe... they probably don't have the serial varification database up and running yet. Apparently a couple people fell through the cracks.

Looks great! Thanks for the update. Can't wait until next Monday... I'll have to... go out of town or something to make the time pass quicker. Seriously guys, this is a beta. I know you probably don't want to hear it but we are beta testers and our goal was intended to find bugs and errors so Stardock can correct them. This is NOT a demo and it's not for our pleasure . However, if these issues crop up in a release candidate, then I'm inclined to agree with you. However, we're certainly not there yet.
