The Starforce group of programmers and administrators are arrogant morons, I'm currently not buying anything with SF on the CD. It's not worth the security risk, possible drive slowdowns or system instability. Call me inane or foolhardy if you wish, but the harder you squeeze, the more slips through your fingers. You can prove this scientifically by attempting to squeeze jello and keeping it all in your hands at the same time, betcha can't do it (with prepared jello, not an unopened

CoReD: They do, they just might become habitable if a certain randon event happens. A 0 went to 15 when the Vegans took over for me. Besides, you wouldn't want the AI to out settle you, now would you? They just might, and if so... *plays ominous music*</font

I've seen it multiple times now. You must: a) Zoom in. b) Rotate and look at the dark side. I've seen it in the colony viewer, then checked the planet, and it's there. Just make sure you're looking on the dark side and let the planet rotate around. You'll spot them.

I just remembered and don't have a screenshot, but I found that there were 2 versions of the Starbase Module "Battle Stations Mark III". The problem is that one gives +4 attack to all weapons, and the other +6. But you can build both. I don't think this is intentional, and gives a pretty powerful base defense/offense early on.

I'll chime in and say no CTDs or bugs here. I had a few nasty random event caused CTDs during the 1.0x beta, but the final fixed it right up. Good work guys. Reapy, have you considered that your hardware might be the problem? Oftentimes even a subtle variation in the manufacturing can cause issues. My Mom's computer and mine are almost exactly alike, yet mine has problems hers doesn't. And I'm certainly not upgrading this, I'll replace

Stpinmass, you are a loose cannon. Firing blindly. GC2 has so few bugs that you would be startled, because you define "bugs" wrong. A BUG is a problem, mishandling or error in the code. No more. You assign problems stemming from an XML typo, graphics glitch, GFX card problem and even modeling mixup the name of "bug". Excuse me? Systems aren't congruent, and worse still they are very different. From build, to softwa

I did not come across that myself, and I think I did get a substantial bonus the time or two I did it. Anyhow, it does make sense since it could be exploited. I'm glad I changed my mind later on anyway. Oh, and no need to be so formal either, go ahead and point away at my errors and inanities, I don't mind.

Why do you think armor doesn't simply increase the total hitpoints? You are reducing or nullifying damage, and with repair bonuses through either a wonder or racial bonus, you will be a powerful force. The longer your ships survive, the more damage they deal. In the end, the defenses are better.

This game is awesome, and I'll keep spreading the word. I am proud to be a programmer myself and to see the success of an indie group. Shine on, Stardock, and show the way for the others!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I must admit that playing as the fictional character, Jaime Wolf, as evil was surreal. Since in the books he is a really nice guy. You should write one, the Wiki has a section for gameplay stories. Just a tip, but when you attempt to teach or relate to others, you tend to learn better yourself. (IE, teach what you need to learn <img src="smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm

Nice work! Liz, are you aware that without XSLT you can simply use an XML "Stylesheet" to display the data however you choose? It's fairly simple and standard now, you might want to check it out.
