from GhostBusters: Dr Ray Stantz: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here. Walter Peck: They caused an explosion! Mayor: Is this true? Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes it's true. [pause] Dr. Peter Venkman: This man has no dick. Walter Peck: Jeez! [Charges at Venkman] Mayor: Break it up! Hey, break this up! Break it up! Walter Peck: All right, all right, all rig

coderwolf - First, I'm a bit puzzled by your wish for people to submit their desktops, etc. since if you look in the DesktopX libraries here (Objects,Themes, and Widgets) there are many to choose from. On z-order: It seems to be somewhat random within children of a given parent, perhaps based on creation or update order, but you can set it by right-clicking and using the Z-order options. If you look at the Object Navigator (context menu for

I still think one problem occurs when applying a change at the same time DX is auto-saving. For instance, I have had problems occur several times when making a change to a number of objects, by bringing up the properties for each one that needs the change, making the change in each, but not applying until all are done, then apply the changes to each. If I apply as fast as I can (as fast as DX returns control), eventually, after maybe 5 or 6

Okay, I tried it, and here's how it seemsk to work (you may have already figured it out): The control messages are only sent for right-clicks on the widget, and for both right and left clicks on the widget's system tray icon. The type and code arguments seem to be as advertised. As for your question about a custom right-click menu, here's an example: Note: This one is set up to just handle the right click on the object

Why upload skins to a skinsite with so much limitations when you can upload it to other very popular skinsites without limits? Perhaps the reason those other skin sites are without limits has to do with a much smaller number of users? Or perhaps (for some) the constant popup-ads that defray

(who's going to pay if there's nothing they can access to see what they're missing) The real question is (for many people): Who's going to pay when it's available for free? If massive traffic at the site generated massive revenue, it would be a workable situation, but that's apparently not

Hmmm indeed ... well, it's just a theory We should try to determine what the common elements are when DX builder crashes. What other software was running? What action directly preceded the crash?

I think there's font color problem with some skins. Load This Skin, Change Skin Color, Edit Skin in SkinStudio, etc don't show up for some skins--ex Anion by DanillOC. I have this problem also, and only on Anion. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle

I have seen this happen before, more than once. I've taken to a double save technique, where I save the desktop AND export the objects. I have a theory about why this happens - It seems to happen when there are quite a few objects in the theme, and DX does an auto-save (in the background), if you save the desktop explicitly and it happens to be during the auto-save, which takes longer with lots of objects, then wham! I once perma

Neil: I posted this in another thread, but since you seem to be checking this one: I've installed the latest WB5 (4.90a) build and most everything is working fine, except: 1. On shutdown and startup I'm getting a message about logonUIx.exe, apparently trying to write through a null pointer (0000:0000). This is the first I've seen this and it just started since the install. Happened with the earlier WB5 version too. 2.
