Maybe you should post "The Golden Rule" as a sticky or something. I know you don't ban a lot of people, but the comments that you've made about this issue leave it to people speculate. People may feel like they have to be careful about what they say to you, how many hours you've worked this week, etc. If that's the sort of vibe that you want people to have in this "community", that's your perogative. But maybe you should have a warning on all your posts for people to talk to you diff

The person in question is on an irrational whine binge. It's funny how people who'd never be caught dead watching that show know ALL about it... usually because of inaccurate quotes they pick-up second hand on LIberal messageboards. I actually watch and listen to O'Reilly occasionally just to know what

Several conversations around here lately regarding dominance made me think there may be some here that would find this interesting. I'm not saying that they shouldn't take part in the political process. I also agree that they have every right to choose a candidate that they feel represents their values. However, I don't like the way the GOP has been going about it, by introducing bills/potential amendments that have religious overtones with the sole purpose getting them riled up. If it were a valid issue that truly had potential to become law, that would be different.
Many people have scoffed at the idea that Republicans used issues like gay marriage to mobilize Christians to vote for them in the 04 elections. It appears that it may be their strategy to maintain their grip on Congress in 06 as well. Because like "any" blog it's nothing more than someones "opinion". Isn't that what BlueDev and I were talking about here? Isn't that what I posted that in response to? Not enough muslim leaders taking a stand and voicing the opinion that they oppose the violence. It's the Free Muslim Coalition's official position on the issue, not some Joe Blo
It looks like you did a really good job. Some splash, but not too much.
Finally, moderate voices rose above the din of extremist rhetoric to have themselves heard as thousands of ordinary Muslims — angry and embarrassed by the controversy over Prophet Muhammed's cartoons — held a massive rally in Trafalgar Square, central London, on Saturday against "incitement'' in the name of religion. If you're going to link a website and use it to prove a point, it's best if you don't use a "blog site". It's not a blog "site". It's the website of the Free Muslims Coalition. I didn't think of it at the time, but that's a great idea! Don't know how much my husband would have appreciated the documentation of his girly handiwork, though! Ehhh....who among us has not donned the rubber gloves and helped our woman color her hair? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Big

Do we get to see pictures? You should have documented the entire process...a true "do it yourself experience".
Thanks for the link davad, but it is too little in my opinion. People are being killed, buildings are being destroyed, lives are being threatened and the most we get is a blog. I applaud those who condemn these actions, but where are the visible leaders who are speaking out against this violence? Frankly, it appalls me t
Why aren't they speaking out against these ass hats? I truly believe that the 'majority' of Muslims are just as offended by this as I am, but it disturbs me that they are so silent on the matter. What makes you think that there are not muslims who are speaking out against the violence? Because you don'
Funny you say that cause he said Islam not muslims. Actually they are not all the same. I don't know a ton of muslims, but the ones I do know don't seem "much the same" as the ones people like you love pointing out.
I've mentioned before that the company that I work for sells funny T-Shirts, among thousands of other things. Some of the most popular shirts we sell are Anti-Bush/Cheney ones. Most of them I don't think are especially funny, but we got in new ones today that I thought were quite funny. In fact, I sold two of them straight out of the box before I was even able to p
Another great article that casts doubt upon the "liberal media bias"; by Peter Daou A Challenge to Rightwing Bloggers Who Blame the Media for the Cheney Mess: Prove it. One of the great absurdities of our time is the persistent notion that the traditional media skews left. Reporters buy into it, Democratic strategists and leaders buy into it, and rank and file rightwingers live by it. As I've written previously, the right controls

for example, I just saw the headline: "Cheney's victim suffers coronary". The wording there just doesn't seem unbiased to me... How would you write that headline in a more unbiased way? Is it the word "victim" that you have issues with?

Since this "is" my blog, for something like this I don't need to base it on anything but "my opinion". And "you" stated... I just asked what you're basing that on. It's not as if I got all huffy and said "PROVE IT" like many are fond of doing around here. I'm just curious about what he's done to ma
