The last update caused the program to no longer import from any windowblind. Ive checked with several others and even in WB 6 RightClick no longer imports any wb skin. I assume all is working in Vista so thats why its been left this way.
Thanks for the info Fairy~. Exactly the same problem exists in Vista (64bit here). I always thought it was just me, and I actually had a go on it today. I uninstalled using the ODN-Zapper, rebooted, run a regis
Thanks for the info Island Dog, there are always one or more skins I would have missed if it weren't for your little compendiums. This time it would have been Tiggz's World-Clock. :)
I am a bit confused about the fact that your "Graphic Experience"-score is a 1; and that with a GeForce 8800 GTS! :SURPRISED: Are your drivers installed correctly?
Have you tried to manually add it to your "Startup"-folder in your Start-Menu?
The only program I use in your "Ultimate" is Right Click and I'm certainly not going to fork over an extra $20 for that alone.
Well, I sure would, as it is the most useful Stardock-Program for me.
The renewal price of Object Desktop Ultimate hasn't been set but will probably be $39.95.
That's 5$ more for two new components. Not an unreasonable price increase. Especially not since OD has remained at the same price for ages (I believe this
Doh, only one day to vote. And there I though I would actually try out all the nominated cursor before I vote. (:(
For me the forum-pages have been loading with the vicious velocity of the common garden slug. That is; I click on a thread to open, I go and get myself a coffee, I play with the cat, I ring my mom......... and after a while I may or may not be able to read the thread. I am writing this from within IE64bit, as I only got "connection reset"-errors in Firefox 2.0.0.11. This started about two days ago, with the "most recent"-forum page, showing only a partial- or even an
I hate to disappoint you Po, but I think we are all very aware of your "secret" plan. ... all except Skinhit of course.. :)
Never ever.... 1984 is creeping up on us ;)
the most obvious solution is increase the ads for non-subscribers substantially. And those who don't want the ads and want the other services of WC and want to support the site directly can buy a subscription ($30 for the first year, $20 to renew). I can live with that.
So can I. I know that many might not agree, but I seriously wouldn't mind paying a bit more just to keep the site for subscribers ad-free. Having ads on a site (even static ones
I'd like to thank the academy..
I hope you know that your speech should have continued for at least another 10 Minutes (or 1 and a half pages) ;p Congrats :)
I'm actually surprised at the 33% that said they may leave.
ditto, especially since last I looked at the poll, only very few people had chosen this option. Weird... :NOTSURE:
Uninstalling should have worked, unless something got borked during the install. Have you tried to install again (over the currently installed one) and then tried a uninstall? I know that sounds strange, but sometimes that actually works.
Wow, surprise doesn't even cover it. :SURPRISED: Thanks a lot! :D
That being the case, why does Wincustomize have to be a money making division of Stardock? The old adage is true, in business you have to spend money to make money.
I thought this problem was solved with the Masters-suite program. Weren't we told that if the Masters-skins sell really well (which I think they did), they would generate good money to support WC? And wasn't that just a year ago? The same "incentives" about creating additional goodies for subscribers
I have to admit that this has me a bit worried, and I fear that we are going down a slippery slope. Having this site ad-free has always been an important factor for me, and as AlternateSetting has pointed out, having no ads for subscribers has always been a major perk. When ads were introduced after the launch of WC2005 we were promised that subscriber would not get any ads at all. Am I correct in assuming that the evergrowing traffic on WC is now mainly caused by (non-subscribing) peop
Right-click on your Desktop > Personalize > Theme > choose "Windows Vista" from the dropdown list > ok.
We had lots of snow here (Switzerland) two weeks ago, and I already went skiing. Unfortunately now a lot of it has disappeared again. I'm hoping for some more.
Trilogy? Up until now there are about 23 Books in the series. I can only guess as I am no member of Stardock, but I would say yes. Especially since one of the developers' nick is "Nakor" (you will meet him in one of the later books).
Oh, and did you see that Howard's butt-plug, Costello isn't contesting the leadership ... may even/will probably depart politics altogether???
Thats a bit odd, before I left Australia, I can distinctly remember that Howard said he would step back in favor of Costello after another year (I believe Costello was treasurer then). This obviously never happened?
I am currently using Kaspersky (KIS7), as it was one of the first Firewalls that worked reliably on Vista64bit. The main reason for me to get a software firewall additionally to the one in my router, was because I wanted easy control over which programs are allowed to access the Internet and which are not.
Looks Like We Are Rid Of Lil Johnny
Congratulations!!!!
This honestly isn't a shameless plug...just me tooting my horn and enjoying the brief moment.
You certainly deserved that.
I allow it, but only on a guest account. Family can use my full account if they want/need to. I have also no problem with other people borrowing my car, as long as I know them to be careful enough.
