Over here in Oz, we call folks of that ilk "fairweather friends." What a good expression! It is so true that you only find out who your real friends are, if you are down. <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via W

Doh!! Got three, and promptly missed all the "of's". Maybe I should consider a sex change, since the female gene obviously didn't do its job...

Hi there, I still have the problem that I can't log into the discussion panel aka. forum from within SDC. The cause of this was that I had to change my email-address for all my apps as well as for my WC subscription. This happened without a problem and I can access the WC forum from the WC-page without any problems, but I just can't access the forums from within SDC anymore, since it just doesn't log me in anymore (I get the ads and it won'
I am late as usual Congrats NT, it was high time you were promoted and I am glad that your constant contribution to this site was recognised.
Does anybody know which file (cookie?) is responsible for the discussion-login in SDC? I have recently changed my email address (through "my account" settings) and veryfied that by email. Now I can't use the SDC discussion area anymore (I am not logged in anymore). Problem is that I can't see anywhere to log into the discussion-group from within SDC. Note that my access to the proggies and the skins works normally. I have also tr
I just wanted to say how much it hurts me to see the (freshwater) goldfish share their turf with (marine water)coral-reef fish. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Crying.g
I am fairly certain that the process "iexplorer" is associated with a virus. Don't tell that to Kona!!! iexplore.exe
As someone who has a close family member suffering from cancer, I know what you are going through. I hope your quality of life improves and that you will enjoy many more good years. Never give up, Bone cancer can be slowed down almost to a complete halt with hormone surpressing shots. Good luck with everything. <a href="../resou

Hmmm, have you tried to uninstall > reboot > remove everything out of the SDC-folder > reinstall SDC? ... seems weird that it wants to upgrade to a lower version
Have you recently upgraded SDC? In SDC under Tools > Settings > General > tick "Check for Stardock Central releases on startup". Then restart SDC and see whether it updates. I have version 2.20.357 Build 103 and Windowblinds5 is clearly there.
You should be able to delete those two files after a reboot. Uninstall first > reboot > delete all files (except folders) in the WB-directory > reinstall > reboot again, before you try to apply any skins. I am not too sure why WB5 doesn't work on your system. What OS are you using? You need to have WinXP to run WB5 successfully. If you have XP, do you have the 32 or the 64bit version?
Whenever I run accross this data error (and it happened twice so far, usually if I try to delet a skin), I usually uninstall WB > reboot > manually delete all files (leave the folders) in the WB folder and reinstall WB through SDC. After another reboot, my skins are all back where they are supposed to be. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser
What version of Iconpackager are you running? Rusty Rooster is a fairly new Iconpackage and requires Iconpackager 3 or later to run it.
If I can remember correctly, the problem you describe had one of two reasons: I think one was that StardockCentral wasn't upgraded and needed to be upgrades to the newest release. The other one was faults in your Account settings on the Stardock Server (a problem that has to be corrected by a Stardock employee). <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Po
I remember seeing that thread scorpio-logic.
Hmmm, I am not to sure on that but I heard that you need to have an ATI 9200 or better to run WB5 successfully. Have you tried to install WB5 without WB4? Do your per-application settings dissapear on each upgrade, or only when you install WB5 on top of WB4?
*.rar files are archivation files kind of like zip-files and need an "unpacker" to access the content within. Some of the more common programs like the unpacker included in WinXP and 'Winzip' can't unpack *.rar files. The most common *.rar archiver is WinRAR, which has a trial version here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm However, there is a free archiver called 7-zip, which will unpack (but not pack) *.rar files fo
I could add another point to that NT. 8. Take everything personally. For example if someone states that there are a lot of sofware pirates out there, assume it is directed at you (and only you) personally and start defending yourself agressively. (Bonus points for throwing the accusation back at the initial poster: e.g. "it is always the ones that me
Maybe it's also worth mentioning that it's also not adapting to my current Windowblinds on it's Windowtheme What do you mean with that? Does Windowblinds work at all? Or do you mean that you can't load any Windowblinds either. Did you install the apps from an administrator account? I am not
