alongview, There is a difference, You would have to hunt down an admin (and maybe in some cases hope you got the right one) and the PM boxes have a 'limit' to the # of messages they hold. PMing is also not the easiest thing here on WC and I'm sure not very easy for a newbie. Now a 'button' might be abused as I stated above, hell it probably would. This whole thing is just to discuss the possibilities of what could be done as a regular feature. Maybe such a button should only be visible to the sk

Many still seem to be missing the point. Its not negative comments towards the skin but, comments that are negative and that have nothing to do with the skin. It is not about protecting 'some skinners' cocky attitudes' or 'the ability to censor the comments' or 'less than pleasant comments' . I have seen comments that are both bashing the skinner and/or the program the skin was made for. And as much as we would just like to ignore them, they generally start a rant w
The point is not 'bad' comments towards the skins; those are fine and should be tolerated by anyone who uploads. People do have opinions and are entitled to them. Rather what I'm mostly speaking on (and was discussed in the past) is more along the lines of unproductive comments that berate the skinner or hardly, if at all, deal with the skin itself. These types of comments should have no place and a skinner should not have to deal with this type of thing.
You see that kind of thing all the time in all the galleries. "This is the best (fill in skin type here) ever made!!" and "You are the best (again fill in skin type here) skinner out there!!" both comments are rather common and typical
Hi all, I guess this is mostly for the admins here at WC.... Over the years there has been discussion on how to handle skin comments (i.e. the unproductive ones). Some of the suggestions have been to give the uploader the option to allow comments or not (via a check box or the like) and another has been a 'report' button to have the violating comment reviewed by an admin. I'm just curious as to if this discussion is still being mulled over or if it has been placed to the wayside. <b
hum.. my 'paid' version has caused NO problems over here, doesn't run slow or lag down the pc at all
Hi GustheGuideDog, Looks like I might be a little late on this but had a little time today after seeing the original topic this morning. Meaning I missed all the conversation on it. Anyway, here is a quick and dirty bootskin I whipped up. You might find the others more to your liking as it does not have yellow text and so forth. anyhow here is a link to it: <a href="https://www.wincustomize.c
lol, I think he means the 'title' of the window in on the bottom of the frame and not the top. Kind of like Gizmo but I don't know of a 'longhorn' style skin that has that.
"One more day... one more day... one more day..." Thats all I have to tell myself now right?
If all else fails (ie. normal instalation through ThemeManager) you can access the iconpackage through the .suite file itself. Copy the file and rename it to .zip. Extract the zip file then look for the file "Intrigue.iconpackage" in the \IconPackage\Intigue\ folder. If you are still having problems then contact support at [email protected] cause it seems you are having a software problem.
2of3, if you would like you can e-mail me the .wba and I can take a look at it. Not sure exactly what could be causing it and or what I might be able to do to help correct it but at least it can be tested on another computer.
Yeah, I got to say... new to me too. A few questions... 1) Does this happen with any other skins? 2) What version of Windowblinds are you using? 3) What else has been 'modified' dealing with the menus? (ie. have you 'fully' skinned all menus?) A few things you can do in the meantime of getting an answer to 'fix' this... 1) Check the Analyze section (tab in the upper center section) and see what comes up as 'errors'. Anything tha
thanks to all for the postings since i don't wanna violating the international Copyright Law i decide to take the page down untill i get some permission from authors. I applauded dj.hmelnitzki for doing what is right in correcting the problem. If permission were asked to post my material I would have more then likely provided it. The fact remains my skins are posted for personal use ONLY, this does not include reposting on another site for that site
SKoriginals, This is a nonsense to ask permission for linking to a public site (DevArt, for example). And the greater rot is to ask permission for personal use. Did at least one user asked permission for downloading? If you publish there, it becomes public for ever. The 'skins' of mine that were on the site were not linked back to the original download and NONE of the links were back to the original page but a link to the direct download on the origi

Well i'm the owner of computer-arts.info, so if any of authors think me or my friends have "ripped" your work please contact me and it would be removed immediately. Our goal wasn't to rip but promote some work, well and also be promoted. You are in violation of copyright infringement in accordance with the International Copyright Law . Each unlawful download of an authors property without their consent is each a singular and separate breac
For the most part, all skins design in XP should work great on Vista. The only place they will have problems is the startmenu depending upon how the skin was created. Most of the skinners right now are either hoping it works well with vista or doing their best to create a vista substyle. Once the next version of SkinStudio comes out there should be no questions on if it will work with Vista or not, least that is the hope for most of us <img src="http://
I have found yet another site that not only has skin rips but also programs as well like Rumshot... go figure right http://computer-arts.info/index.php this particular user seems to be big on posting things http://computer-arts.info/user/UlyssesD/ I have seen windowblinds, wallpapers, icons, cursor, ect on this site... sometimes the original authors name i
