Zoomba, I got a question... it says voting will start on Oct. 2nd (for 'Most Usable Wallpaper', Oct. 9th for 'Most Usable Icon Package' and so on) does that mean voting will start before the final submission date (Nov. 2nd)? What happens if someone votes then sees something after that original vote which they would rather vote for... will they be able to change thier vote? If not it seems there is a 'penalty' for later submissions.
Thanks Koasati and Island Dog Great picks by all... I'm liking this new 'feature' cause sometimes I don't check out EVERYTHING if you know what I mean. What would have been my pick? Guess I'll have to wait till next week cause my choice just got uploaded
a purple cursor? how about it maybe turn into a pink daisy and spin for the working and a little heart for the 'hand'
Congrats Hankers
It took a bit of getting used too and I'm having no problems at all but, much like the forum redesign here, I'm liking it now btw, whens the rest of WC going to follow the forums look and feel hehe
Happy Birthday
I got two more for ya Lasse... I personally don't really use these but they are for programs that are very common. .est For Microsoft Street and Trip .wpd For Word Perfect
best you could do is just make both pretty small and close to each other... ie, All programs low in its section and the logoff/shutdowns high in the bottom section.
I think the problem is she is unzipping (or tring to) a .CurXPTheme file to use it. If you download a cursor and its extension is .CurXPTheme then all is well.. just place it in the skins/theme folder and it should appear. No unzipping ect. needed
Another issue might be you do not have the font used by the author, windowblinds has an auto install for fonts the author uses but if the windowblind is not set up upon creation to auto install the font then it will go to a default one. If you would like to see and or change the font the windowblind currently has open SkinStudio and then open the skin. Look at the tree to the left go to... Taskbar > Taskbar button there are seperate settings for the Horizontal and Vertical taskba
I have a Dell laptop I do nearly all my 'internet' stuff on. Nearly 2 years old now. Not one single hardware problem yet. It gets a little hot from time to time, but never hot enough for anything like that to happen. And, in most cases all I need to do is clean out the dust and she's running cool again. Course, my model looks nothing like the guys in the pics either which might make a difference too <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Laugh
I swing back in forth between the totally original and out there, but after awile I generally go to a more sublty skin for everyday use. What I look for is clean, well made graphics that are not 'messy' looking. Also, that whatever skin I am using (for whatever) is completely skinned, I find it really annonying to use a very nice skin and then a piece is not skinned or missing something. Currently I'm using a WIP so guess I can't really say much more than that.
I always have WB running and use InDesign often... I guess I n=must be in the minority that has never seen this problem. The above solution that 'I Am Pariah' suggests will work. Personally I would stay in the 'Preview' tab, scroll down to the 'Classic Colors' section and check for the RGB codes there first (just more visual and quicker than searching the code tab). If that didn't work then its code hunting time.

Whay are you using a .png? If you are trying to do an alpha blend a .tga with an alpha channel is required. The .bmp should work... no idea what is happening there.. There might also be a confusion with file names (ie same files but different types) its a good idea to keep unused files out of your skin. Only reason I say that is I have noticed that windowblinds tends to not 'like' a bunch of unused files.
I dont know why are you missing the icons which tell you what posts youve read and what's new, theyre still there. Didn't see the 'View Today's Posts' thanks I see the 'read' and 'new' ones, but if there is one that says which ones you've replied to and if there is a new message in it I don't see it. Its no big deal, just said I would miss 'e
You are a bit misinformed then Adam... I have been indexing online skinning tutorials for awhile now. Sort of making an easy place to look for them as they tend to be all over. Main: http://www.skinning.net/frontend/forum_viewforum.php?32 Windowblinds: http://www.skinning.net/frontend/forum_viewtopic.php?32.6774 In the windowblinds tutorials you will find ones explaining the new v5 features and also older tutorials on creating avi's and so on. I too was fustrated at tr
Not too bad... a bit different and a bit plain... only thing I think I'll miss is the way the old forum showed you more of the "recent" post on main forum page but, thats a small thing. Edit I just thought about something else I think I'll miss... the little icons on the left of the threads that used to tell you which threads you had read. They also told you which ones you had replied to and if there was a new reply. Oh well.. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gi
