All, Earlier this week we moved the location of the personal images to a brand new server on a better connection. The reasons are many, and I'm not going to go into detail. This was a 'good thing' move. As most of the Wincustomize regulars know already, Wincustomize has been lacking much needed love for a long time now. Unfortunately, some legacy code in the site, which hasnt been updated, is interfering with uploading Personal Images. This includes avatars (also called icons), per

Ok all. It's time to follow jpmurph1's advice. Take a step back and take a deep, really deep breath. If any of you would like to personally attack eachother from this point on, please take it privately. There is a Private Messaging system here for a reason. Please don't discuss the fact that you shouldnt personally attack eachother, please dont start apologizing, let's just let the personal stuff die off, and get back to discussing the topic objectively .
There is no ETA at present. Sorry.

Yeah, we could really use a shared Site Issues forum.
Searching for members and their posts is very difficult (please pm me if you know a good way).
At present there is none. But its being worked on.
For whatever reason, I can't upload an Avatar regardless of pixel size (tried 50x50, 48x48, 50+X50+ etc)All i get is a Bad Request error.
Call it bad timing. We're moving some data around today in order to increase our scalabilit
The Word Association post has 21710 replies. The way our system is working at the moment, it's more than it can handle. It's on my list to improve the system to handle posts of this size but thats not something that's going to happen soon. Sorry.
Can you fix the Forums so that recent posts dont just update on WC main page while your at it please Andrew
Things like this make me die a little inside. Especially when it's widly off topic and in the wrong forum.
..thats what I'm working on (today, anyhow)
Yup. We know about it. We'll be getting to that as we have the time and opportunity.
The official answer to this is that the Impulse forums do not contain all of the categories that the Wincustomize forums contain. Thus you will not see posts on the Impulse forums for those categories that the Impulse forums do not contain. By the way, you may wish to use more descriptive Titles in the future. 'Forums' doesnt really do much to convey to people browsing the forums what the topic of the post actually is.

Theres a great article on A List Apart about how sites dont always have to look the same on every browser.

Typically when this happens, the site being attacked is using some sort of platform software which has documented or exploitable holes. Such platforms like phpNuke and e105 frequently have new exploits, and site managers have to scramble to update before their site is comprimised. While it's not completely out of the question that WC may have a lingering hole we havent yet found, our stuff is all developed in house and thus, the source code is not available for people to pick through and find
I'm amazed at the wild overreaction to this. I swear I'm half tempted just to comment out the code which enables Karma. Its supposed to be fun, settle down and just enjoy it!
I don't understand why you care, I've been on these forums for years, and my point specifically was that I HAVE EARNED KARMA....why are you being mean to people on here...??? I've done nothing to you...and I don't appreciate your attitude...
I care because; 1. I wrote the system. 2. I'm the primary developer on the forums. 3. I'm a Stardock Employee and I care about the community(ies) we run. This speaks fairly loudly to the issue of users <span style="font-style:

I'm not really sure where that all came from... Karma is definately not going to be used to purchase anything. It's just for there.
