Don't worry grayhaze. Take your time. From my experiences it is really good to shift focus from time to time. Ultimately you will be able to poor all your knowledge, gathered from shifting focuses and trying new ways, into one new brilliant design. And when you succeed, it will be an extatic moment in your life. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBro

PJ, thank you for putting things into perspective. I really appreciate that. Such an explanation is acceptable to me. Time to let things rest.

Thanks for letting HH3 through Jafo. But you know very well I wasn't referring to a specific wallpaper. I was referring to your reaction on https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsID=1161 and to your mail. As stated above, it was a general comment with a try to objectivize the tension between innovative and popularity. Maybe you can explain to me how you have meant the reaction there, other than that you disagree. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/wink.gif" border=0

I am sitting saddened on my couch. Stare to the sky and empty thoughts. I posted a fairly general comment on the topic wallpapers are going to be moderated harsher than before. I may be wrong but it looks like everytime I write something you feel sort of automatically in disagreement. Would you please stop picking at me? And if you have criticism on something I upload would you please put that in the appropriate comment box, instead of mailing it, so that it can be talked about right here on the

Look Jafo, I am not willing to go over it all again. It's obvious we look at the same topic from different professions. You are fully entitled to give your view about it. What I do is PAINT the car, bus, surfboard, canvas. In that I am free to choose whatever medium I like, no boundaries, the only boundaries I have is the size of the object. I am NOT attacking Wincustomize, NOT attacking limitations/criteria. I merely say something from MY world. And please stop everytime to say I 'suggest' thin

I hope I will not step on someones toes by reacting here. I agree with what 1renegade says. I also agree some wallpapers shouldnt have gotten through that made it. And I think some should have been in the database while they were rejected. In other words: taste is personal and moderation will always be subjective sifting. The question really is: what policy does WC want to go for. If you want only works that matches some of WB skins, you strike immediately the roots of the artist, namely: freedo

I am a fishie from my 12th...used to breed all kinds of non egg laying subtropical fish. Then I discovered the discus fish, boy, were they magnificent and friendly animals...had to sell all whe I got allergic to the water the fish swim in...Everytime when I walk by a fishshop that sells Discus fish I walk in and start talking to the fishies. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm

Thanks again WiseOldMan. I know, I will try, and I might have been too harsh sometimes, for that I am sorry. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I have done some hard thinking lately about the wallpapers that get passed moderation here and am starting to understand what is wanted and what is not Why things pass, and why not. Uploaded! Well I hope you will enjoy it and feel free to comment! Bedtime <

uhohhh...yep..you know, I was taught that you should give the same attention to all of the canvas, whether it is the background, or the form. The love and preciousness for each stroke you do should have the same passion When you are satisfied with 99% and don't want to change the last bit, it is still not finished. And Changing the last 1% can mean you have to change 40% again...It is a struggle, but eventu

Well, on your request I am uploading the wallpaper to WC...Changed the format to 1024x768...It looks a bit less sharp now, probably because I use a 1280x1024 screen. Hey, again thats nice of you to say WiseOldMan I hope it has helped that person. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid

Ohno, not 256 color...I did that and it looked like a clear sky at night! A wish was done and it turned back into true color You mean a good comment WiseOldMan, or positive criticism ? I try always to be objective in my comments. Many people however tend to feel attacked while it is just an attempt to get them to a (in my opinion) better level. There are a few members here of which I really really like thei

Hmmm...you think it will pass? I once was told 2MB was a pain to download and it wasnt worth it anyway after applying it...And until now I never have found out how I could make a BMP 1280 x 1024 with 144 dpi, allocated size 3,8 MB smaller in size...I understand you can save some by adjusting your colourpalette, but I only can do that with JPG Zipped it will be 2.5 MB or so...dunno exactly, but still a large f

No need to apologize MWWKD My way of saying things isn't alwasy as clear as it should be. I think we sort of agree of how to use new ways to get artists work towards the end user. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bo

WOW WiseOldMan, thanks! Nice of you to take a look there. Occasionally I alter the image. It is so much fun making things with paintprograms

Pax: I applaud your honesty. It is difficult. Especially when you have to look at so many a day...Sometimes one may look better than all the others in a day and will look less with what you receive the next day. I can understand the dilemma's Very hard. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm

MWWKD: I simply said about KaZaa what was possible...I am not 20 anymore, but if were I would be tempted to download PS 7. Now that I can afford it, I'd probably buy the program, just as I bought Object Desktop, CursorXP, WC-subscription, Creatures 3 (ask Greenreaper how cool that neverending game is, or better look at his creatures skins). However I opted for a cheaper possibility. Forgive me MWWKD if I set you on the wrong track of mind, but about combining artists I meant a sort of trust wher

SlowNeasy, thanks for giving that link. A very good article and transparant insight how music recording business works! Also, again a great example how greedy people start to build fences around their "hard earned" money. All they did is making sure successful artists are taken away their freedom. Talking about stealing...You cant put your voice on the net because the RIAA owns you? YUCK...It really is about time artists combine new efforts to present their works in another way than through old

Yep, WiseOldMan, makes very much sense! On the other hand one can understand the disappointment too, when your work is moderated. And sometimes one says things on instant...(As you know, I sometimes make such mistakes)... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBr
