Well, after much mouthing off I finally did it. I purchased Object Desktop. I must say that I'm mostly blown away by all of the "full version" features. I also bought Toon-XP at the same time & it is incredible. I would (as somebody else requested) REALLY like that blue wallpaper that is displayed at Pixstudio.com. I'm very surprised that there is no acompanying CursorXP theme to go with it, I hope some of you skinners out there are whipping up some kinda Bugs Bunny glove cursor set. Also, n

..& how come I get a 1 yr. sub to THAT site instead of a 1 yr. sub to THIS site with the purchase of Object Desktop? Seems like a bit of split deal... you KNOW I wanna come here for my skins & I can't even FIND a ObjectDesktop.net anywhere online to check it out. Jebus.. I really wanna buy something but all the packages are split up in weird & unusual ways so I'd end up buying 3 different things just to get the ONE thing that I want (which is Toon-XP running in a full version WindowBlinds). So,

This is from TechTV (on preventing future Xupiter "takeovers"): Once you remove Xupiter from your system, make sure you never install the ActiveX control again. In Internet Explorer, click Tools and choose Internet Options. Go to the Security tab, click the Restricted Sites icon, and then the Sites button. Under "Add this Web site to the zone:" type xupiter.com and click Add. Add other sites that have ActiveX controls similar to Xupiter. We recommend

I'm not trying to be an @ss (it just comes naturally?) I agree that the skinners oughtta get paid. I also agree that the Toon-XP suite looks absolutely incredible & is more than likely worth every penny, as is the subscription fee. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that somebody else decides for me what two freebies I'd end up with. I don't wanna stir up mud. I am indeed very grateful for

Yeah, sorry paxx, I replied before I saw that there was a page 2. Is there anywhere that I can preview XP Augustus? I've looked around a little (searched) & could not find any comments/reviews or anything. I'm still cornfused, Toon-XP IS a "premium suite" is it not? Was it not created by the same company/team/skinner(s) as the other premium suites? Seems to me like a bit of a cash-grab, not including it as one of the freebies. I think I'll skip on the subscription, it would be a better idea (imh

I was wondering the same as most, I'm not currently a subscriber but am very seriosuly considering becoming one soon, I do spend a helluva lot of time around here. So I guess my question is would the Toon-XP theme be downloadable at no extra charge or would I still have to pay even if I am a subscriber? This will more than likely make my decision for me, if it's included I will subscribe, if it will cost extra well then I guess I just don't see the point of being a subscriber, might as well just

My bad... I just figured that out, I can be a real dumb-ass when I try hard enough, I had domain & worgroup confused. I guess the issue I'm having is the same as the others posted, needing to rename the files to .zip & go from there. Hope this works, I'm anxious to try out some better looking screens than those (now boring) blue ones. Sorry for the stupidity. smooches, » Phy³ . . .

Am I missing something? Why should I "ask Microsuck" why Stardock software won't run? What does my logon screen (locally) have to do with any domain? Here's a what-if: I just delete the domain name & reboot (without internet) should I then be able to put a Logon in place? I just don't get the connection. C'mon Frogboy, zat how you treat a newbie? Let's see something a little more verbose maybe? Thanks. smooches, » Phy³ . . .

[Note: the logon screen is not available if your machine is joined to a domain.] My question is... who the %#$! isn't joined to a domain? I hope to Jebus this is an issue that can be worked around, otherwise NO cable internet people will be able to use it. Kinda silly. So my actual question is: Why?! smooches, » Phy³ . . .
