The only reason I brought this up was because when I had mentioned the buggy shutdown/logoff dialogs (which I managed to fix myself but have to "re-fix" each & every time I install/re-install the Toon-XP suite) someone whom I can't remember now (unfortunately) respopnded to the thread that indeed there was some sort of update in the works and that's the last I ever heard about it until I started this thread. Maybe the person who posted that was talking outta the other side of their butt, I dunno

For WinBlows you can get a couple of things that are similar, both made by the maker of (the ultimate visualization plug-in) Geiss. You can get Drempels here http://www.geisswerks.com/drempels/index.html and/or Monkey here http://www.nullsoft.com/free/monkey/ both of which can run like having a screensaver as wallpaper. I thought Carbon Fibre had more of a "braided" look, like this: http://www.designinsite.dk/gifs/mb0632.jpg I have two pieces of carbon fibre from Formula 1 (found in Montreal around the track after the race). I think they are from Ukio Katayama's Tyrrell ('95-ish), as he had a nasty crash there during the race. One of the pieces is a flat piece of "skin", the other is a chunk of wing or something but you can see the aluminum honey-comb interior, very impressive, state-of-the-art material

I come here each & every day waiting & wishing & hoping that the Toon-XP makeover will be announced, does anyone have any idea approximately when this might happen? Also, what exactly will it entail? Why doesn't anyone lock their taskbar for screenshots? I keep mine locked all the time, keeps those ugly little dashed vertical lines away from the quicklaunch AND does away with that really ugly line on top the whole length of the taskbar. Looks so much cleaner, keeps everything smoove. But I don't think I've ever seen one screenshot where the author has theirs locked, just wonderin' if it's "policy" or something? Also, is it a KNOWN bug @ Stardock that about half of the time the line
I don't use WebBlinds cuz they never fixed up Toon-XP for the "long" version which I run. IE looks fine without it (long titlebar) so I just don't run it. Glad to read somewhere that Toon-XP IS undergoing some punch-up, now I won't have to "ungrey" my shutdown/logoff dialogs manually everytime after I apply the suite. I am so dissapointed with everything I've paid for. I've used the free builds for years & almost never complained about it, so when I finally break down & throw nearly $100 (Canajun, eh) towards Object Desktop & Toon-XP (half-assed "suite") I've been less than satisfied with ANY of it. Every phucking day we get a new program to keep things in check, "don't use CM anymore.." "try using SC now..." etc. I'm not even sure WHAT program to use now. My WindowBlinds are GONE.. & I am a PAYING PHUCKING S
Same here... If I look in my Component Manager it says there is a 3.99a build available, but after I've downloaded it when I try to install it I get a "use Stardock Central yada yada" message. Funny thing though, when I fire up SC my login fails AND there's no version there higher than 3.90 listed. I REALLY thought I'd waited long enough to go ahead & buy OD, but so far I'm WAY less than impressed. I bought a (half-assed) Toon-XP to go with my new OD. No cursors, no logins... wow, really worth p
